Welcome to the Tailor's Loft! This two bedroom, 1st floor flat is located in the Heritage Quarter of Dunfermline, just steps from Dunfermline Abbey and Palace. Built in the 1890's as part of the original Stephen's Bakery and now developed into flats, it is bright and airy with high ceilings, large windows and views looking out onto Pittencrieff Park. Within walking distance to all amenities: bus and train stations, high street shops, restaurants, bars, grocery stores and beautiful parks. The Tailor's Loft is located on the 1st floor so there is a flight of steps to climb once you have entered the flat from the street. There is a double bed in the front room, a king (queen) bed in the back bedroom, and a double pull out couch in the living room. The modern kitchen includes a washer/dryer combo, dishwasher, microwave, induction hob, oven and full fridge freezer. The shower room features a large rainfall shower head and handset, and a steam free mirror with bluetooth speakers built in. Free wifi throughout and a smart tv . Anything in the flat is yours to use during your stay, whether it be various spices, condiments or dry goods in the cupboards and fridge, the hair dryer located in the back bedroom, umbrellas or any books and boardgames. There are multiple long stay parking options just steps from the front door. Most are paid parking (no more than £3.80 a day), but there are a few free spaces near by as well that are occasionally available. Everything in the town centre is within walking distance, nothing is more than 0.5 miles away. The Tailor's Loft is situated in the beautiful Heritage Quarter of Dunfermline. Around the corner from the flat is Dunfermline Abbey and Palace, the resting place of Scotland's most famous King, Robert the Bruce and was home to many royals from the 11th - 16th century. Pittencrieff Park is a beautiful 76 acre glen just a few steps away from the flat and is full of walking paths, ravines, open spaces and playgrounds. Just up the street you will find lots of high street shops (M&S, Primark, H&M, Next), coffee shops, hair salons, restaurants, and bars. Dunfermline is only 35 minutes from Edinburgh by train or car, making it an ideal location for day trips and a convenient base for so many other areas of Scotland with it's proximity to the main motorways, train station and bus terminal. That being said, Dunfermline Town has lots to offer and is very walkable. We ask that you respect the property, the surrounding environment and be mindful of the neighbours.
