A great place to chill in Perth by the ocean for a couple of days before boarding your long flight to London from Perth. My home is council approved for use as a BnB so you are secure in the knowledge that it has met the councils stringent requirements for comfort and safety. A little corner of quiet suburbia a short stroll to the beautiful Indian Ocean, parkland and a local shopping centre (open 7 days). Awaken to the sound of the birds singing and enjoy your breakfast either indoors whilst watching the birds collect nectar from the native trees through the large garden window or outdoors under the patio whilst taking in the gorgeous WA sunshine. My home is fitted with reverse cycle air conditioning (heating and cooling) whilst the "Jayden Room" bedroom is fitted with a ceiling fan, a radiator heater can be provided on request. "Jayden Room", this private, lockable room sleeps 2 adults maximum on a queen sized mattress and divan bed in the lovely seaside suburban Ocean Reef on Perth's northern beaches. "Jayden Room" dimensions are; 3.5M x 3M = 10.5 Square Meters 11 feet 5.8 inches x 9 feet 10 inches = 113.021 Square Feet "Jayden Room" is the largest of 3 rooms available at this property. It has a Queen sized bed (other rooms are doubles), added drawer space with an extra set of drawers, a large mirror and a walk in wardrobe. "Jayden Room" was the master bedroom of the property prior to the upstairs addition being added. There are 2 other rooms available at this property "Cianan Room" and "Kaila Room" (both smaller than "Jayden Room" and both with smaller, double beds). Each room sleeps 2 persons so should you have a larger group I can accommodate up to 6 people. See individual room pricing and listings on on this site for availability and pricing. Only a stones throw from the Joondalup Country Club Resort or Whitfords Sea Sports Club so a great, affordable alternative for accommodation when attending a wedding or function at these function centres which are around 5 mins or less away in an Uber or taxi. Getting to the Property; The property is around 45 minutes drive from the International airport and 35 minutes from the domestic airport (both times are off peak). A taxi will cost about AUD$80 from the domestic and around AUD$100 from the International airport. There is no direct airport shuttle to the area, you could get an airport shuttle to the city, then the northern line train to Joondalup Train Station and then a AUD$10 to AUD$15 cab ride to the property if you do not have a hire car. I may be able to do an airport transfer from $60 subject to my availability. The price may vary according to the time of day (traffic conditions, peak hour etc). Please contact me to inquire once you know your arrival time and date. In the event that I cannot be at the property on your arrival, self check-in is available via a door key code issued after booking. The Shared Guest Use Areas; - Kitchen: Equipped with a dishwasher, coffee machine and a double door fridge with a water and ice dispenser. - Dining area: Dining table overlooking side garden. - Lounge and living rooms: Comfortable assortment of lounge suites and chairs, 47" LCD TV with DVD, home theatre system and Bluetooth streaming. There are also musical instruments for guest use including an electric piano and an electric guitar and small practice amp. - Laundry: Washing machine and trough, iron and ironing board (A "next day" dry cleaning service is available at the local post office a block away). - Outdoors: Enjoy the heated 5 seater spa with an adjustable water temperature range 17C (62F) to 41C (106F), the spa has is a natural enzyme system that does not use bromine. There are numerous patio tables and chairs for you to relax in and a gas BBQ. I live upstairs at the property and as such I am available if you need me however I'll provide you with all the privacy you want. The things I love about my home are the quiet location, the ocean air, the convenience to be able to walk or cycle to the beach, the shops and cafes/restaurants. There are several beaches, bars, cafes, restaurants and cinemas within 5-10 minutes drive (many within a 20 minute walk) and the beautiful Joondalup Country Club Resort and golf course is only 5 minutes drive. Highlights in the area; -Mullaloo Beach -Joondalup Resort, Country Club and Golf Course -Lakeside Joondalup Shopping Centre (One of the largest in Perth) -Edith Cowan University Joondalup Campus - Hillarys Boat Harbour (Catch the Ferry to Rottnest Island from here) - An easy 5 - 10 min drive to Joondalup Health Campus (Public and Private Hospitals) - An easy 10 minute walk to the coast - 5 min drive to Mullaloo Beach for patrolled beaches, wind/kite surfing and surfing. - A great starting point if you are on a whirlwind tour of Perth as you have an easy start down the Sunset Coast Drive all the way to Fremantle taking in Mullaloo Beach, Hillarys Boat Harbour, Scarborough Beach, Cottesloe on the way. All the best beaches in one day! Should you wish to go into Perth city its just a one block walk to the bus stop, where the bus that brings you to a train interchange to the city. A faster alternative if you have a hire car will see you in the city in around 30 minutes (off peak). If you have a bit more time I would recommend a lovely drive down the coast when making your way to the city, the scenic route! Free Bicycle Use for Guests; Free bicycle and helmet use for guests (subject to availability and waiver form signing). - Free bicycle and helmet use for guests (subject to availability and waiver form signing). - There is a guitar and a keyboard available for guest use. - There is a small/medium sized truck parked on the property that I use for work however only occasionally. When guests are staying I will not start the vehicle until 9 am (or in consultation with guests).
