Houseboat city center of Utrecht (free parking)

Would you like to experience what it feels like to live on the water? I promise you a guaranteed ultimate holiday experience on my houseboat located in the city center of Utrecht. Enjoy the beautiful garden, swim in the water and warm up next to the cozy fire place! Unique and spacious houseboat with an open/industrial design and a lot of incidence of light. The houseboat is equipped with all needs for a convenient stay. The living room has a comfortable sofa, a fireplace (incl. wood), and a large dining table (4-6 persons). This table is also very comfortable for working @ home. The best thing about the living room is the daylight and the doors to the waterside. On a sunny day you can go on the platform on the waterside. You might even go for a refreshing jump in the water? There's a stair to easily go in and out of the water. After your swim you can warm up at the fireplace. The open kitchen is connected to the living room, so you'll always have company while cooking. The kitchen is fully equiped: microwave, oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine (incl. coffee), smoothy-maker, several herbs/spices and all necessary cooking/baking utensils. Basically, everything you need to make yourself a delicious meal:-). I'll make sure there's basic breakfast available for the first morning. The sleeping room has a double bed (160*220) with a very comfortable matrass. In summer there's a mosquito net to keep the muzzies aways. The shower is directly connected to the bedroom and is half-open (could be an issue if you're not a couple). The toilet has sliding doors and can be closed. In the morning it’s nice to open the big doors in the sleeping room, jump back to bed to enjoy the fresh air and the view of rowers and ducks in the water. Outside in the bamboe garden you can find lounge furniture as well as a barbecue and campfire place. It has many beautiful flowers and plants and you can sit there privately. Take some blankets from the living room, built a little fire, grap a bottle of wine and make yourself comfortable. There is also a shed available in which you can park your bicycles safely. For in and on the water I have 2 Stand Up Paddling boards (SUPS) and many inflatable objects available free of charge. Some extra service I provide is 1 bicycle (sometimes 2) to do groceries or to go to the city centre (less than 10 minutes). My cat (Robin) will be your housemate. Except from serving his food and cuddle him he won't bother your at all. He has his private “cat door” and does his “thing” outside. Would you like to stay with one of two extra persons? Please, always let me know in advance. I'll arrange bed-linen and extra breakfast. All of it will be yours! You have access to the entire houseboat, garden, shed and the water. I'm available for any questions you may have and will provide full assistance when you're here. In case I'm abroad I'll make sure to help you from a distance by phone. The boat is located at the city center of Utrecht and directly behind the Jaarbeurs (Exhibition Center). Even though it’s behind this exhibition centre the houseboat is located along a quiet street with almost no traffic (except from bicycles) and destination traffic. You’ll be welcomed and suprised by the silence and nature, thanks to the many trees, sheer and other vegetation found near the waterside. It's also a place where you can sit late in the garden with a campfire and music without bothering anyone. Restaurants and bars are just 50 meters distance: Italian, sushi, pizza and a nice bar with different beers. There are three different kind of supermarkets in the neighbourhood. With the canoe it’s possible to explore Utrecht City Center or go to interesting touristic sites like Landgoed Amelisweerd/Theehuis Rhijnauwen. Free parking right in front of the house (this will safe you at least €15 a day!!!). The city centre is a 10 minutes’ walk, 7 minutes’ ride on a bicycle and 40 minutes by canoe. Within in 7 minutes you’re at central station (Utrecht Centraal) from where you can takes trains/ busses to different cities. Amsterdam city centre is just 30 minutes by train. - The price is excluding 6% touristtax. At your arrival this can be paid in cash or via banktransfer. - Breakfast available for first morning (orange juice, sandwiches, croissants, jam etc.) - Respect the cat. Robin likes to have some love and attention once in a while.
