Village house in Kritsa, Agios Nikolaos, crete, Greece. Situated in the large village of Kritsa, just 10km from the sea & Agios Nikolaos. When you enter the house there is a kitchen and to the left a living room with 2 bench beds/sofas. there are 2 back bedrooms, both with double beds. The kitchen is equipped with electric hob & oven, fridge, coffee maker, kettle toaster etc. There is a dinning table a chairs. On the ground floor there is a wc and upstairs is a wc and shower room. A roof terrace with wonderful views down through the village to Agios Nicholaos and the Mirambello bay. Bed linen & towels are provided. Our house is in a little lane that has the advantage of no passing traffic :) There is a bicycle, helmet and lock available for your use. This little village house is Simple, basic and unpretentious. Arrival times can vary but we require you to contact the caretaker 48 hrs prior to your arrival and provide, along with your booking, an e-mail address for her to send you the full list of contacts and directions. It is not possible for the our caretaker Lizza, to meet you late in the evening so please make sure that you arrive in the village at a reasonable time. If you have a hire car, you will need to park further down the road & do the rest on foot. I live in France so will not be around to welcome you, however, a good friend, who lives in the village, is key holder. You will receive her details upon booking, please provide us with an e-mail address so that we can contact you with further details for your trip. The village of Kritsa is the largest traditional village in Crete & offers many tavernas, shops, paces to eat or buy food. The village is known for its lace shops and one of the best olive oils in the world ! Situated above the Mirambelo bay, snuggled into the cliffs below the Kathero mountain, the views from the village are breathtaking. The nearest international airport is Heraklion, 60km from Agios Nikolaos. There is regular bus service to the village, also taxis are available. I would recommend car hire, You can collect it at the airport & drop it at the airport and cost around 35€ per day. All drivers, must have they're driving licence with them ! You will find information sheets in the house so that you can discover all the wonderful sites. We ask that smokers smoke outside as smoking inside leaves a smell that isn't pleasant for future guests. Ashtrays are provided !
