Come stay at Dusk til Dawn Forrest. A 1949 Bedford Bus sits on a ridge running East-West 800ft above sea level. Incredible panoramic views; south over Blenheim, Marlbourough Vineyards, Warau Plains, Wither Hills to Mount Tapuae-o-enuku out to Cloudy Bay and Cook Straight. Then across to the northeast looks up the Pukaka Valley past organic nature, bush, pine plantation, and onto Mount Robinson. West is Warau Plains, Pine Plantation, and a gorgeous sunset. Stay in our 1949 refinished Bedford Bus with a double bed, and sofa bed. The bus can sleep 2 adults comfortably. If needed, an attached retro caravan is next door with a single bed for 2 kids or 1 adult. Fresh flowers, free range eggs, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, and much more will be provided for our guests during their visit. We take pride in our self sufficient property, and would like to share this rare experience with travelers who want a chance to get away and enjoy the simpler pleasures in life. Enjoy a heated fireplace, a fully supplied kitchen with two gas rings for cooking. Other amenities such as dish and hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, tea towels, dishes, cups, pots, pans, olive oil, salt/pepper, sugar, tea, coffee, and hot chocolate are all provided. Please note that this is a simple living experience, we only have a compost toilet for guests nearby the bus. The shower and toilet are close by and very clean. There is hot water for the shower and kitchen sink, but we encourage using what we need rather than wasting. We collect all our own water and try to preserve it as much as possible.
