2 Gites Available Welcome to Le Rouge Robin We have 2 self catering gîtes located in Fougax-et-Barrineuf at the foothills of the Midi - Pyrenees. We are ideally situated for snowshoeing, the ski slopes in the winter as well as for relaxation, cycling both mountain and road and walking Hire one or two gites both sleep 6 people + 1. Large back garden shared with ourselves and guests Ideally situated for touring the South of France. So much to see and do. Each Gite has living/dinning room, 3 bedrooms, bathroom with separate toilet , kitchen and outside has a terrace area with BBQ and shared garden area. Seating for each gite is provided for outdoor use. Please check with us on the dates you require as we have two gites available and only one may be booked. If you are arriving late we can (if required) order your fresh croissants or baguettes from the local village shop just let us know. The surrounding area is full of places to visit for all age groups and abilities. OPEN LOG FIRE wood is available and is charged at 6 euro a night please include this in your email if required. Above ground pool children' s splash pool (summer) and a hot tub (summer) Each Gite has a private entrance located in the underpass. Shared large garden but each gite has its own BBQ and seating / terrace area, the small river runs to the side and bottom of the garden We live next to the Gites and are available if you have any concerns. We maybe able to help you plan your stay. We share the garden with our guests but are not intrusive. Set in a lovely traditional French village At the foothills of the Pyrenees but within driving distance of famous City's and Coast Tour De France Close to the Spanish border and Andorra. Nearest airport Carcassonne and Toulouse. Visit Narbonne for the day or go on a vineyard trail. There is something for everyone in the Ariege area. Car is recommended. Parking is available off site close to the gite or in the car park located just further up the road from the gite. We can advise about cycle hire. If you are travelling with your bike and don't wish to hire a car to get to the gite we maybe available to help with airport / train station pickups but please ask about this first. The area is ideal for relaxation as set in a quiet location but for those wanting it is ideal for various types of outdoor activities. Many guests take advantage of the area for hiking and cycling.
