The Retreat is a tranquil mountain house tucked into the rain forest. The ocean view stretches before you and you will not want to leave. It is the ideal place to celebrate family events, hen's parties or book club weekends. On cool nights the fireplace beckons. The Main house with king and queen size en suited bedrooms is separated from the Bunk House ( with 2 bedrooms and bathroom) by a raised wooden walkway. There are 2 cafes within walking distance serving excellent coffee. The house is reached by driving through the rain forest. There is a resident whip bird living in the forest along with many other birds. Sunrise on the veranda is a special moment. Guests have exclusive use of the whole property. (1 or 2 Bunkhouse bedrooms automatically available for bookings of 5 or more adults , or by negotiation) Daryl, who was born on the Mountain is available to answer your queries. He endeavors to meet as many guests as possible, and is always available on his mobile. Birchgrove Nursery/ cafe across the road serves excellent coffee as well as casual meals. Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation, a 4 minute walk grows their own coffee, and is open for breakfast and lunch. There is a taxi service, and an uber driver available as well as a bus touring the wineries.
