The Brew House is ideal for two with its large dual aspect bedroom which works as a double or a twin room with its en-suite bathroom. This room can be rearranged as a family room with a further single bed or alternatively a sofa bed can be made up for an extra guest in the living area. The open plan ground floor with a small wood burning stove provides an easy space to cook, eat and relax The Brew House and Potting Shed can be linked with interconnecting door when both cottages are booked. There is a small enclosed area with garden furniture at the back of the Brew House for Brew House guests who require the security of a fenced area. This area has a gate on to the main lawns. However all guests are free to enjoy most of the five acres of gardens and woodland excluding only the Hen House garden and the small, stone walled garden attached to the Potting Shed. I live in the main house and am always happy to answer queries or sort out any problems that might arise. I am usually around or can be contacted via my mobile. Sherwood is approximately 2 miles from North Petherton (small shops, pubs and other places to eat) and 4 miles from Bridgwater. (normal range of supermarkets, cinema, swimming pool etc) Blue Door Cottages at Sherwood provide pleasantly quirky accommodation for couples and small families to enjoy on an individual basis but also form an ideal group for larger families and friends to enjoy each others’ company while providing the space and privacy people need to really relax. Between them the cottages can easily accommodate 12 people and beds for groups of up to 16-18 can be arranged subject to agreement with the owners. Well behaved dogs are welcome. The cottages, Hen House, Potting Shed, Brew House and the Wine Cellar, have been converted from out-buildings at Sherwood. The buildings are set in about five acres of a rather overgrown woodland garden. Set on the lower slopes of the Quantocks along narrow winding lanes but only 10 minutes from Junction 24 of the M5, Sherwood is a great place to relax but also makes a wonderful base from which to explore the whole of Somerset and some of the attractions of the surrounding counties. You will need a car or a bicycle unless you really like walking. Time, flora, fauna and the weather continually conspire to render all walking surfaces, yards, paths, lawns and steps uneven and in the case of the tiled paths very slippery in damp or wet weather please take care especially in wet or icy weather.
