A hidden gem on the banks of the river Lerryn and in the heart of an idyllic Cornish village. Just steps from the river side you’ll find this four bedroomed character cottage, perfect for those who love the countryside, the water and stunning scenery, with the coast just 20 minutes drive away. This 19th century cottage overlooks the stunning river Lerryn and is set around a beautiful courtyard garden, offering privacy but within a stones throw of the heart of the village. It’s a perfect family home with a spacious dining room, cosy lounge with inglenook fireplace, four bedrooms and a luxurious family bathroom; complete with toys and a trampoline for the kids, and wonderful riverside walks for the dog! Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), the village is nestled in the river Lerryn valley and known to have inspired Kenneth Grahame's 'Wind in the Willows'. Just 50 metres from the house you'll find the village pub, the Ship Inn which serves good food and real ales, as well as Lerryn River Stores and cafe which sells plenty of local produce including delicious ice-creams and pasties. Lerryn is a mecca for water lovers (especially canoeists and paddle boarders), walkers and bird watchers. It’s only 20 minutes drive to some beautiful beaches on the south coast, the Eden Project and the ever-popular harbour town of Fowey. It's only 45- minutes drive to some of the best surfing beaches on the North coast. Lerryn is most easily accessed by car; it's a 10-minute drive to the nearest town of Lostwithiel and only 20 minutes drive to Bodmin and the A30. The mainline trainline from London to Penzance passes through Lostwithiel, where taxis can be booked to Lerryn.
