2 Bedroom character cottage, 1 Double bedroom with Kingsize bed, 1 single bedroom. Conservatory. Travel cot and camp bed available for 1 extra child. Cosy lounge with original beams, wood burner, TV with Freeview, DVD player, lovely fitted kitchen (no washing machine), bath, electric shower, GCH, DG , off road parking, separate access. Located within Dartmoor NP close to S Devon beaches, Exeter, Plymouth, Torbay, Totnes. Self contained fully equipped cottage with off road secure car parking. Set in a beautifully maintained cottage garden adjoining owners home. All bed linen and towels are provided.NB there is no washing machine in the cottage. The kitchen/diner is fully equipped with a dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster, full size cooker, microwave, fridge and freezer. WIFI. The lounge has a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. Bedroom one has a Kingsize bed with memory foam mattress, bedroom 2 has a single bed and a travel cot. The cottage is fully equipped for 3 people, however there is no washing machine in the property. The cottage is self contained; we live next door and are always available if required for help and advice. Our cat is not allowed in the cottage, however you may see him in the garden, he is very friendly and inquisitive! Helpful advice on day trips, local area and where to eat, drink and visit. The cottage has a small library, a selection of board games and a few toys for small children. DVD's and CD's are also available. There is a travel cot, camp bed and high chair available, but no bedding for the cot. Guests are welcome to sit in the garden where there is a seating area especially for them. The garden is well maintained and has a small pond, full of goldfish, which is frequently visited by herons, damsel flies and frogs. You may see bats on a summer evening. There is a bird table, and we often see blackbirds, robins, finches and all kinds of tits, and occasionally woodpeckers,nuthatches, and some naughty squirrels! South Brent is a great location to base your stay in Devon. Lying just off the A38 between Plymouth & Exeter it provides excellent links by bus or car to Torquay, Totnes, South Devon Beaches and the country. There are riding stables with access onto Dartmoor within walking distance. The centre of the village is a few minutes walk away where there is a pub serving food, a fish and chip shop, deli, takeaway (kebabs etc), pharmacy and well equipped supermarket. There are larger supermarkets within a ten minute drive, all of which will deliver for a small charge. Shipley Bridge and Avon Dam are a short drive away, and there are riverside walks in the village, and a very historic old church and toll house. Close by is Glazebrook House Hotel, which has an award winning restaurant, open to non residents. There is a regular bus service (X39 and Stagecoach Gold) to Plymouth , Exeter and Torbay, and good highway access to the whole county and South East Cornwall. Cycling and walking on Dartmoor are popular and there is bike hire available nearby. There are Rail Stations nearby at Ivybridge (3miles) and Totnes (7miles), which link with the bus service. We do not make a charge for cleaning, therefore please leave the cottage clean and tidy. From Exeter, leave the A38 at Marley Head and proceed towards the village. At the roundabout, take the second exit, and after about half a mile, after passing the car sales garage on the right, take the next right signposted for Brent Mill Business Park and 'hotel'. Cross over the bridge and you will see a pair of green cottages at right angles to the road. Immediately past these cottages is a gravel drive between the green cottages and a cream cottage that runs parallel with the road. Turn into this drive and go through the gate (there is a '3' on the gatepost). Your parking space is under the trees next to the motorhome. The entrance to the cottage is through the wooden gate to the left of the garages. We should be home to greet you, if not, we will contact you to let you know the code for the key safe. If you are travelling from Plymouth, leave the A38 at The Woodpecker (take care as the junction is immediately after the Shell garage). Keep left towards the village, then take the first left signposted for Brent Mill Business Park. At the T junction you will see the bridge over the river on your right, and the green cottages in front of you. Turn left, then immediately right behind the green cottages into the driveway, then follow the instructions above. We look forward to seeing you.
