Granary Cottages - Oat Cottage
Oat Cottage is part of a beautifully converted cluster of farm buildings, which were once part of a Granary. Situated in the peaceful rural village of Cromhall, it is perfect for business trips, or short breaks away visiting the local area. Light, open and airy with exposed beams and vaulted ceiling, the Cottage is comfortable and relaxing. It is fully inclusive of towels, bedding etc. There is also a separate communal laundry room with washing machine, ironing facilities and utility sink. A cleverly designed studio style space which has been converted to an exceptional standard from traditional farm buildings, dating back over 120 years. There is a lounge/bedroom/kitchenette area (equipped for the preparation of light meals and snacks) with comfy double bed, storage cupboards/drawers, desk, sofa, table, TV, fridge, combination microwave oven (Please note NO HOB available in this cottage), toaster, kettle and all utensils, and a separate bathroom with shower. Free, strong WiFi is also easy to connect to. The Cottage is double glazed throughout, and is centrally heated. Our communal Laundry Room with washing machine, complementary detergent and drying racks, provide all the facilities you will need for your stay. Being single storey, the Cottage is easily accessible, with off road parking immediately adjacent. There is also a charming shared garden, with seating, available for use - a lovely place to sit with a glass of something in the evening and watch the sunset. - Communal Laundry Room - Communal garden directly in front of the Cottage, and also the small gated garden behind building adjacent to the Lane. We live near the cottage so can be available most of the time to help with any questions or information about the area. We are situated on Cowship Lane which runs from Cromhall to Wickwar, where you will find the local brewery! The Cottage is only a short distance from the historic towns of Wotton-Under-Edge and Thornbury (home of the famous Tudor Castle). Slimbridge Wildfowl Centre, Berkeley Castle, Cattle Country, Old Down Country Park and Wild Place are all within easy reach. We are well-placed for Westonbirt Arboretum, Highgrove House, several National Trust Attractions, Badminton/Gatcombe Horse trials, and various Country Shows. There are many beautiful walks on our doorstep, and we are on the edge of the picturesque Cotswolds. The large shopping mall at Cribbs Causeway is about 15 minutes by car, and it is a short journey to Bristol, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare, Gloucester and Cheltenham. Travel links by road are excellent for Bristol, Bath, Cheltenham, the Cotswolds and M4/M5. Bristol Parkway Station is about 15 minutes away by car and local buses stop on the lane outside.
