The Barn at Summersdale Located in Balnarring on the Mornington Peninsula, this exquisitely finished barn conversion is the perfect couples' retreat. Just a 3-4 min drive to Balnarring and Merricks beaches plus wonderful Peninsula vineyards, the Barn is the ideal location from which to explore. Or if you're looking to relax just sit back and enjoy.. cathedral ceilings, beautiful interior and north facing, private outdoor entertaining area. Step out of your car and into the garden oasis that surrounds the Barn. Open the sliding doors and enjoy a glass of wine on the private deck or move inside and unwind in the contemporary, architect designed living area. The sense of space is the first thing you’ll feel and there truly is something for everyone. Choose a book or magazine and relax in the reading nook, turn on the 58 inch tv and immerse yourself in Netflix or simply run a bath and enjoy a long hot soak. The Barn has been lovingly created so you will not want to leave. A visit to the Mornington Peninsula is not complete without feeling the sand between your toes before discovering some of the beautiful local restaurants and vineyards. From fine wine, dining and sculptures at newly opened Point Leo Estate, to freshly caught mussels on the beach at Flinders Pier, the seasonal local produce is bound to impress. The Barn is a 10 minute walk to Balnarring cafes, restaurants and shops and a short drive to Balnarring and Merricks beaches, plus several top class vineyards including Jackalope with its dual restaurants and cocktail bar. If you’re feeling more active make it a walking, golfing, paddle boarding or surfing getaway or bring your bike and see the Peninsula on two wheels. The possibilities are endless. We want your stay to be as relaxing and private as possible. We live on the property in a separate building and can be there to greet you on arrival to show you around the Barn and make sure you have all you need for a wonderful stay, or we can leave the key in the key safe for you, whichever you’d prefer. Guests have their own car parking space and private access to the Barn. We are always available by phone, email or message if you need to contact us or have any questions. It is best to explore the Mornington Peninsula by car. There are however a lot of great biking and walking tracks to discover once you are here. Bittern train station is only a five minute drive away and trains go directly from here to Frankston where there are direct trains into Melbourne city. Taxis and Uber is available on the Peninsula but best to Pre book. We can organize and pre book a local driver for you for any planned events or evenings out. We are a short 10 minute walk to Balnarring village, and a 5 minute drive or 10 minute bike ride to beautiful Balnarring beach.
