The black A frame is a very retro 1969 modern space. It is located down a private beachfront driveway on beautiful Ohope Beach. The first level has an open plan lounge,dining & kitchen area. A hallway leads to bathroom,seperate toilet and laundry. The main bedroom has a super king bed & private balcony overlooking the beach. The second bedroom, overlooking the courtyard,has a king single bed & single bed. This can be configured as a super king bed. Perfectly designed to enjoy the location The black A-Frame has recently been completely refurbished to a high modern standard. The West End location is hard to beat - A safe & popular location for surfing , swimming ,kayaking plus bush walks to Otarawairere Beach ( Shell Beach ) or further into the Whakatane township. The A frame takes full advantage of the views of the beach - surf break,bush & rural views. The sunny & sheltered rear court yard is ideal for relaxing with outdoor table & chairs,umbrella & deck chairs. The kitchen bi-fold windows stack open to the outdoor deck / courtyard-breakfast bar ideal to pass out food & cold drinks. There is a gas BBQ for your out door dinning convenience. To the right side of the building you will find a hot and cold out door shower to rinse off after your swim and a single car park to safely leave your car. There are air-conditioning units on both levels. Privacy and block out shades on the main windows. We have used quality George Street Linen duvets and pillows on all the beds. The Main living area has a New Smart LCD TV with Bluetooth sound bar, an internet connection is also provided through a 3G modem. The main living area bi-fold doors will stack completely open to the front deck area. We are sure you will find this A-frame a very unique experience & you will certainly enjoy being so close to the beautiful Ohope beach & the surrounding area. *For your reference - We would not recommend the spiral stair case for elderly couples (who have trouble with stairs) or very young children. I’m around to help you with anything you may need but I’ll also give you your privacy to enjoy your holiday to the fullest! Feel free to ask any questions you may have :eg surfboard / SUP hire lessons or the best local coffee food ;-) The “West End” at Ohope beach is very safe and a popular location for surfing, swimming and bush-walks over to the beautiful Otarawairere bay or further on into the Whakatane township. The local Ohope shops are a short walk (or bike ) from your stay, and we would recommend Moxi for your coffee fix or yummy breakfast / lunch. The popular "Cadera" Mexican restaurant is a great place for a cold beer and Taco in the evenings. You must also try Fishermans Wharf restaurant short drive to the end of the beach and wharf area. The views at sunset are spectacular and its a great little place run by Tom the owner (book early as very popular) The Accommodation is very easy to find, if you are coming from the Whakatane direction,just go to the bottom of the Ohope hill and turn left. Drive to the very end car park and you will see a private driveway leading to your accommodation down and on the left. Buses run into the town of Whakatane (on the other side of the hill ) the bus stop is opposite the local Ohope shops. West End is the most sort after spot in Ohope - Simply unbeatable :)
