Dragonfly Safari Tent

Dragonfly is a beautiful safari lodge, sleeping up to 8 people comfortably, with an upstairs sleeping area. The safari tent has its own shower room with a large shower, two hand basins and a flush toilet. The kitchen area has a sink with gas hob. Cutlery, utensils and crockery are all provided. The tent has mains water, hot and cold water, and electricity. It has a wood fired log burner with a child safety cage. The tent is furnished with home comforts including rocking chair and hammock, a small music system, lots of books and games to keep you occupied. Outside there is a fire pit with seating, an outside tap for washing wellies/dogs, a badminton net and a wooden swing. Dragonfly is set in its own field with a boundary hedge and fence around it. It is connected to our other tent Foxlove by a small pedestrian bridge over the stream dividing the two tents. The glamping field is located off the main road/lane and is very peaceful with no traffic noise. Parking is next to the tent unless the ground is very wet where by vehicles can be left on an area of hard standing close by. The tent is located close to our lake within walking distance but is separated by a fence and gates for safety. Our lake has a small jetty, with a rowing boat and an island with a small beach area, it is a haven for wildlife. Guests staying at Dragonfly have the sole use of the field the tent is located in plus shared access to the lake and the island and the meadow area around there. On meeting and greeting our guests I explain how to contact me if they need me. I live on the farm a few minutes away but am available at all times should they need me. Our farm is located on the edge of the Blackdown Hills, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, in South Somerset, with stunning views all around. We are close to both the south coast (Jurassic Coast, 20 minutes away) and the North coast, 45 minutes away. We are very lucky to have Exmoor (40 minutes) and Dartmoor (1 hour) on our doorstep. Somerset is a beautiful country with lots to offer. Our nearest town is Ilminster, a small market town and our nearest village is Combe St Nicholas. Our nearest bus route stop is in Combe St Nicholas, a couple of miles away (probably too far to walk). Our nearest train station is Taunton, (north south mainline). Most guests have their own car and parking is next to the tent. Have a great time. It is a beautiful place to stay.
