Lakeside Hut in an Island for 2 (Exclusive Stay)
“Isla Serenidad” offers an exclusive private island adventure and retreat away from the city life. It is an unspoiled, off-grid, semi-secluded, and self-catered private island in Lumot Lake, just few hours away from the metro. It can be reached by a 7-minute private boat ride with a serene view of the Lumot Lake and the Mount Banahaw. The island is quite huge and is surrounded by trees and a freshwater lake. There is no WiFi in the island, but you'll find a better connection with nature, yourself, family and friends. You can go fishing (bring your own rods), lake swimming (with life vests provided), kite flying, bring a Frisbee or soccer ball, read a book, write a blog or novel, organize your life plans, unplug from the city life, or just unwind on a hammock underneath a tree. ACCOMMODATION Our two signature huts are fusion of the native and modern bahay kubo in varying frames and designs, with locally-sourced materials for a serene nature glamping experience. *Guests (min. of 2) can choose from either the Cabana or Lakeside Hut. The CABANA HUT is an elevated red hut with a square frame and glass windows which has a great view of the lake and the sunset. Inside is a one double-sized mattress on a bamboo bed frame that can accommodate 2 persons. A simple and minimalist hut for your nature glamping experience. Maximum room occupancy is 4 persons, with an extra floor mattress, and an electric fan. The LAKESIDE HUT is a white hut on stilts with glass panels and sliding door, and a front porch. It is situated near lakeside and at the center of the island. Inside is a one double-sized mattress on a bamboo bed frame that can accommodate 2 persons. A simple, cozy, and minimalist hut for a serene glamping experience. Maximum room occupancy is 4 persons, with an extra floor mattress, and an electric fan. KITCHEN & DINING HUT It is situated at the center and offers a 360 degrees view of the island! Guests have exclusive access to the open kitchen and dining area which has picnic tables, a gas stove, basic cookwares, pots, pans, plates and mugs, whistling kettle, distilled drinking water, and Styrofoam coolers serving as storage for tube ice and frozen food. Charcoal griller, and kalan de uling are also available. *Personal utensils (spoon, fork, drinking glasses) are not provided. CR & SHOWER HUT Guests have exclusive access to the two (2) shower areas, and 1 common toilet and bath (with 1 toilet and 1 male urinal). The outside sink is for washing the dishes/cookwares. *The small toilet and bath (beside the sink) is reserved for the caretakers. PERGOLA & BONFIRE PIT This is situated at the center of the island's campgrounds, with a 180 degree view of the lake! Min. of 2 guests EXCLUSIVE STAY *After 2 guests, 800/pax per night INCLUSIONS: • Exclusive use of the whole island • Round Trip boat transfers (from port to the island, and vice-versa) • Lakeside or Cabana Hut accommodation with linens and pillows. (Blanket is available upon request) • Exclusive access to the kitchen/dining hut and grill area • Exclusive access to the common CR and (2) shower areas • Drinking water (1 blue container) • Bonfire (1 round) -from 8PM up to 10PM only • Use of life vest • Use of kayaks EXCLUSIONS: • Meals, condiments, tube ice and charcoal • Toiletries and bath towels • Lumot Lake Cruise: 1,350/tour • Extra boat trip: 700/round trip • Succeeding rounds of bonfire (100/round) • Parking fee: 200/car for overnight parking. 100/motorbike • Caretaker's Service fee - min. of 300 pesos *for services rendered (e.g. request to cook/grill your food, or wash your dishes/cookwares, request to cook your breakfast, do your errands, etc.) We accommodate online and phone inquiries regarding directions and other concerns. Our caretaker will highlight the important reminders and house rules, and would be of any assistance until 9PM. The locals are friendly. Nearby stores and wet market are available near the port (and parking space) going to the island. The lake is clean and smells fresh, with no nearby fish pens (for tilapia culture). And the neighboring islands too is as serene as Serenidad's. Neighboring friendly dog(s) and a hungry cat occasionally visit the island esp. when we have guests. Please secure and store your food properly at all times. :) On Waze: "Porta Verde Way" in Brgy. Lumot, Cavinti, CALABARZON If coming from Manila, you can reach the island via: 1. SLEX - Calamba exit. Follow the national road going to Lumban-Caliraya-Cavinti road OR Pagsanjan-Cavinti road. Then go straight until you reach arch of the Brgy. Lumot in Cavinti, Laguna. *An image with direction will be sent OTHER THINGS TO NOTE: As Serenidad Leisure Hub promotes responsible tourism, guests are encouraged to avoid, if not possible, minimize the use of disposable items such as paper plates/cups, plastic cups/spoons/forks, single use plastic sachets of toiletries and seasonings, and releasing of balloons out into the open which will eventually fall down into the lake. Cleanliness must be maintained. Kindly practice the “CLAYGO” or Clean As You Go. It is not a resort with adequate staff and with hotel-like accommodation and amenities. Yet, we do have a caretaker who provides assistance to guests (i.e. assist in tent pitching, cook and/or grill your food, set up and lit the charcoal in the griller, run other errands). Kindly offer a service fee/tip to our caretaker for the assistance rendered (minimum of 300 pesos). OTHER REMINDERS: *Guests should bring their own food and condiments. Stock up on tube ice, drinks (beer, soda, liquor/wine), charcoal. *Guests should bring their own set of personal utensils such as reusable spoons and forks, and glasses. *Bonfire prep and lighting must only be done at bonfire area, and by the caretaker, or at least with assistance from the caretaker. *Guests are not allowed to light up any wood or cut up tree branches as they please, or set up a bonfire in any other areas. *Use of life vest during lake swimming and kayaking is a must. There is no lifeguard on duty. Do not go swimming or kayaking alone, and in far areas from the island. Other Huts: *The TeePee Hut is a private hut for the owner. This is off-limits to guests. *The solar and storage rooms are also off-limits to guest. * The Caretaker's Hut (in between the TeePee and the Cabana Huts) is the exclusive hut for our caretaker and his family. Our caretaker lives on the island. They will respect your privacy and will be on standby should you request their assistance. :)
