High-end canalside flat in a great location for exploring the East End and getting in to central London. With super kingsize and double beds, well-equipped kitchen, living room + balcony. Floor to ceiling windows onto a large balcony overlooking two canals, getting the sun all day. 30 seconds from Victoria Park and cafes, 3 mins to shops. The flat has everything you need for a luxurious, stress-free stay. Perfect for a romantic getaway, a relaxing sanctuary when exploring London, or work trip. If you are looking for some peace in the city, this apartment is ideal. From the balcony you can watch birds and barges cruising past and people walking and cycling along the canal towpath. And the balcony is big enough that you can work there on a laptop, or enjoy a morning coffee, lunch or dinner with a view! The flat is on the 3rd floor, served by a lift. For long stays of over 2 weeks, we arrange a proper flat clean fortnightly (if desired), included in the price! SUPERKING BEDROOM In the bedroom there's a Super King bed and cotton sheets, both latex and feather pillows, a blackout blind, a dressing table, alarm clock and hairdryer. It's incredibly quiet at night, so you'll be guaranteed a good night's sleep. DOUBLE BEDROOM / STUDY AREA There's a second room with a double bed, which also has a desk you can use if working away. KITCHEN AND LIVING SPACE Beautiful and light with floor to ceiling windows. High spec kitchen, with a dishwasher and washer / drier for your use. There’s a breakfast and dining table, and two sofas. If it's rainy or you fancy a lazy day, we have boardgames and a Smart TV with Freeview and Netflix set up, so you'll be well entertained. There’s a fully equipped kitchen with all the pots, pans and the condiments you need if you like to eat in. We'll make sure there's tea, coffee, milk, yoghurt, fruit, bread, eggs, and beans in the fridge on your arrival so you don’t have to worry about buying the basics. BATHROOM There's a mirror with Hollywood lights and a heated towel rail! We’ll leave you toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and towels. If there’s anything else you might need during your stay you can just ask me if we have it, and we will try to accommodate, so that you can travel light! You can walk to the Thames or up to Angel, Camden, Regents Park, Stratford or Hackney Wick without walking on a road, by just following the canals! Otherwise, walk down the canal 12 mins to Mile End station to get on the Central, District, or Hammersmith and City lines, or 10 minutes to Bethnal Green Station for the Central line - only 12 minutes into Soho / Oxford Circus. There are many buses just 30 seconds walk away too. Parking is possible on streets around the area. For short stays it may be possible for us to provide that for free if you let us know in advance of your stay. You'll be checked in by me or a close friend who helps manage the flat when we're away, and one of us will always be available for advice about the area, the flat, or to help if you need anything. We’ve lived in the area for many years, so I’ll be able to tell you exactly where to go for whatever you’re looking for. We're right on the corner of two canals - one takes you to Hackney Wick, the Olympic Park, and Westfield for shops, restaurants and entertainment. The other takes you to Mile End Park, Limehouse, and The Thames one way, and Victoria Park, London Fields, Dalston, Islington, and Camden the other way. Its in the perfect place to explore all the highlights of East London without having to walk along a road. Victoria Park is 30 seconds away on the canal, and one of the best brunch spots in London is a three minute walk into the park, right on the lake. We're right next to bus routes that take you to different parts of the city, and a 10 min walk from 2 tube stations - Bethnal Green and Mile End - so you are on the Central and District lines. You can be at London Bridge, Waterloo, or Oxford Circus within 30 mins of leaving the house, and half of your journey will be a lovely walk along the canal! There are loads of incredible walks you can do too - along the canals that are right outside our door, around Victoria Park or the Olympic Park, or around the incredible Epping Forest if you go east on the Central line to Loughton - one of my personal favourites! Our neighbours are quiet and respectful, and we ask that guests are equally respectful of them :)
