Situated in the heart of Donegal Town, our two bedroom apartment is the perfect place to stay in Donegal. Sleeping up to 4, we are seconds away from restaurants, shops, pubs and the famous Donegal Castle. Guests love us for our location, our cleanliness & excellent amenities nearby. Free Wifi & plenty of parking is available at a small charge. We're a popular choice if attending a wedding at the Abbey or Central Hotel, The Mill Park, Harvey's Point or Lough Eske Castle. Our beautiful two bedroom apartment is nestled within the heart of the town amongst the delights of Donegal. With street views of the diamond and famous shops like 'Magees' in view, we offer accommodation in a sought after location. If you are someone that likes to have everything on your doorstep, including a beauticians and food diner within the same block, you have found your perfect place. Whether you are attending a wedding at a venue nearby, in need of a getaway, or exploring the Wild Atlantic Way, we are the perfect place to stay on your trip to Donegal. Accessible by public transport, by foot and by car, we are close enough to all the action that the town offers. Our two bedrooms offer double beds - one bedroom with an ensuite. Both room's come equipped with ample storage, with either views of the town or Donegal Bay. We have a separate bathroom with both a bath and shower so if 4 people are staying, there is no need to fight over the en suite. (Please note, the bath only operates as a bath and not a jacuzzi bath) Our open plan kitchen, dining area and sitting room offers both space and natural light and our kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook, or return home with a takeaway. As the apartment is situated on the first floor, there are stairs to climb, so we would not be suitable for those with walking/mobility difficulties. We are also a great choice for those visiting the town for both short and long term business and are in easy reach of Slieve League, Glenveagh National Park, Rossnawlagh and Murvagh Beach & Golf Course. The apartment is fitted with a lock box so you can come and go as you please. We are only a 5 minute drive away and will be hand to help with anything if needed. Both Denise and I were both born and bred in Donegal Town - we met in the Abbey Hotel and 4 years later were married at Harvey's Point. We lived in this apartment for the first chapter of our lives and have recently moved outside of the town with our two children. Taking away our belongings the apartment reverts back to a minimalist setting, representing our lives before kids! Our favourite thing about Donegal is the people - we have the friendliest people making it a great place to live and visit. Being in the heart of the town means that everything is on your doorstep! You can shop for groceries or dine in one of the many wonderful restaurants in a matter of minutes. We are closeby to local attractions, the Waterbus, the 'Bank' walk and Donegal Castle. One of the best thing's about the apartment is the access to Linda's Diner - whether its breakfast, lunch or an early dinner, you can have your favourite dish rustled up in minutes. Their irish frys are especially good to get you started for the day! The closest airport is Derry, Knock, Belfast and then Dublin. Whether its by car, foot or public transport, our town location makes us very accessible. Bus Eiran offer a coach service that runs directly between other towns, cities and airports in Ireland and pick up/drop off is outside the Abbey Hotel - just a few minutes walk. If you are travelling by foot, that you can experience all the town has to offer on your doorstep and we also have local taxi services if you are heading further a field. There are local tour companies that can offer public and private tours and also a local bus service that can offer transport to surrounding towns and points of interest. If arriving by car, we do not have a reserved parking area. There are plenty of parking opportunities outside the apartment and nearby and parking costs are a maximum of 2.70 Euro per day. We are child friendly and have a travel cot and highchair available for use if needed.
