Located on the South side of town, my garden flat has a private entrance and features free off-road parking at the back and a private lawn with patio to the front. Inside, it's functionally furnished - tasteful on a budget. The living room has a comfortable sofa and dining table that doubles as workspace. The separate bedroom offers a Queen-sized bed with 2 pillows and 2 sets of linen provided, plus plenty of cupboard space. There's a fully-equipped kitchen - cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine/dryer - and a newly-refurbished bathroom with power shower. Towels, tea towels and a limited supply of toilet paper are included. I provide a fully-comprehensive self-written guide book to help holidaying guests discover the many attractions of the South West - a beautiful, picturesque area in which we are pretty much centrally placed. However, if you need us we are available to contact in nearby Dorset. For contract workers we're close to Crewkerne Hospital and handy as a temporary base for those looking to relocate to the town, or nearby Bridport, Yeovil and Chard. For short or long Summer and Winter breaks we're fairly central for exploring Somerset, Dorset and North/East Devon. The pretty town boasts an array of restaurants, bars and independent shops, including a micro pub with craft ales and local cider. Everyday essentials can be found at Lidl, One-Stop and Waitrose and there is free parking in the town. . Other nearby facilities include gym and pool at Crewkerne's Aqua Centre, plus two theatres and a cine complex at Yeovil, Ham Hill - an Iron Age hill fort with breathtaking scenery, ideal for family picnics, the beautiful Jurassic coastal path, including Charmouth, Lyme Regis and West Bay (filming location of TV's Broadchurch) - all around a 30 minute drive away. Glastonbury, the market town of Taunton and Street Shopping Village are less than a 45 minute in the car and for longer stays Wells Cathedral City and Bristol & Bath are easily accessible via the M5. Crewkerne railway station is situated about a mile to the east of the town and there are 3 local taxi companies, as well as bus services into Chard, Yeovil and beyond. (Please check availability.) Please note: there are no extra sleeping facilities in the flat, so it is not suitable for children (including grown-up ones!) or friends sharing, but perfect for singles and couples! You have exclusive use of the patio and garden, which - although private and self-contained - has a path running through it for access to one neighbouring property.
