Warm, spacious apartment with private entrance in 18th century stone farmhouse overlooking gardens and meadows. Downstairs has a large sitting area, small kitchenette, and bathroom. Upstairs is a sunny bedroom with queen bed. Space can accommodate a single person, couple or family of up to 3 (on request in advance please) if you are content with sleeping on the sofa. Price varies depending upon number of guests. There is only one queen bed. Apartment, though not old, is full of charm, with exposed beams, hardwood floors, and built-in bookcases and window seat. Outside the French doors is a patio and garden with outdoor seating. Travelers are welcome to explore the 12 acre property, visit the chickens, or relax in the yard or the barn. On weekends, we are usually in and out, but we are happy to offer help and tips about things to do in the area. We live on a quiet, country road, but within walking distance (for those who like to walk) of New Hope, which is about a mile and a half away. The tow path is at the end of the road. Unless you love to walk, run or bike long distances, it is best to have a car as there is no public transportation in the area. New Hope can be reached by Transbridge Lines bus from New York or we are half an hour taxi drive from the Trenton train station. There is a taxi service in town and a few Uber drivers. We are about a mile and a half from New Hope, PA and just across the river from Lambertville, NJ., two great destinations for shopping, antiquing, river activities and eating. The canal tow path, at the end of the road, is a great place for walking or biking. We are less than an hour from Philadelphia and about half an hour from Princeton.
