A friend once referred to our town as Mayberry. It's definitely a small town where people look out for each other. In the heart of the village, walking distance from local restaurants, brewery's, and shops as well as mountain bike trails. 5 mi from a beach where you can rent canoes/kayaks/paddle boards. Enjoy the slopes, hiking, Ben and Jerry's, local brewery's, or the Vt. landscape, settle in with a warm jacuzzi tub. At the end of the day cozy up on a king sized bed watching Netflix's. This is a separate apt. Separate entrance and is on the second floor. Please let me know if you have a cedar allergy as we keep most of the blankets in a cedar chest. I occasionally put out fresh flowers so let me know if allergies to them as well. Enjoy the battery operated candles around the jetted tub. Save money with a full size kitchen or walk to local restaurants. We have a Keurig coffee maker available with local coffee. The living room and bedroom are one room so the space is really best for 1 person or a couple. **** NOTE- please observe the ceilings are slanted. If you don't remember as you get in and out if bed you will bump your heads*** If we didn't think of something you'd like to have in the apt. Just ask and we'll be happy to accommodate if possible. We are onsite and are available as needed but also recognize that most people want a serene get away so we take your lead. We love meeting new guests and learning about where they are from and also directing them toward local places that suit their interests. Vt is the safest state in the nation and Waterbury is a small community of about 5000 people where everyone says hello and looks out for each other and welcomes visitors. There is limited public transportation so you will need a rental car. In winter, you may want to ask if the rental has winter tires and 4 wheel drive if you plan to go to ski resorts. Vt still requires unvaccinated people to wear a mask. We live separately on the property and are available to get things you may need. This is a separate apt. on the second floor. There is no elevator. Weekend rate is $100/night. Weekly rate is $500 Thursday evenings during summer have concerts in the park with food venders, massage chairs, free Ben and Jerry's and more. If you prefer car racing head to Thunder Road raceway from Memorial Day to Labor Day there are races either Sunday’s or Thursday’s. Just ask us for more details. June-Independence Day celebration (1 weekend before July 4th) is our. Parade goes right in front of our house. July 4th there are festivities in nearby towns. July there is a hot air balloon festival in nearby Stowe, VT. July there is an arts festival and street party. Aug/Sept there is the Champlain valley fair in Essex junction. Sept/Oct is the leaf peepers race. (5k and 1/2 marathon) Nov/Dec is the annual River of light- lantern parade that goes directly by our house. Look it up on the web. January/February- winter fest. Look it up on the web. I can’t attach links here.
