Northwinds Adirondack Chalet
Northwinds is a Swiss Chalet,located in the countryside only five miles from Lake Champlain. The High Peaks of the Adirondacks are a thirty minute drive to the West. Many trailheads are located close-by only minutes away from the Chalet. Privacy is unsurpassed with over two hundred acres surrounding the house. Northwinds is a large house and will easily accommodate eight guests. There are private bathrooms in each bedroom (Website hidden by Airbnb) Off-season and small group discounts available. There are two covered porches and a balcony in the master suite. There is a large fireplace in the living room and in the master suite. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range and microwave oven. There is also a dishwasher and plenty of counter space. There are two large flat screens equipped with blue ray players. Guest have access to the entire house and surrounding grounds. The only exceptions are the storage room and the basement which are kept locked except when cleaning and maintenance is being done. The area around the chalet is rural, sparsely populated and mostly forested. The Hammond Wild Forest is on the road leading to Northwinds. A motor vehicle is needed to get to the nearest towns of Moriah and Port Henry. Being mostly open country there is no public transportation. Route 87 and Route 9 are the nearest highways. Pets are allowed, but must have up to date vaccinations that are required by law. Two dogs are the limit. Pets must not be allowed on the beds or on the furniture. Please keep them on a leash when outdoors and do not leave them alone and unattended in the chalet. There is a great deal of wildlife in the forest surrounding the chalet, and great care must taken to ensure your dogs do not give chase. Northwinds is a no smoking venue.
