Ganges Garden Studio

A small but comfortable self-contained suite on a quiet street in Ganges, the Island's main town. Leave your car behind and walk to the famous Saturday market. Discover local artists in the galleries, visit unique shops, enjoy casual or gourmet dining in the town's cafés and restaurants. This small garden suite has a bedroom with a queen sized bed, fine cotton/linen bedding and goose down comforter. In the sitting/dining area is a comfortable sofa where you can relax and read or watch TV. There is Netflix for rainy days as well as books, and some games. The space includes a coffee maker, toaster, fridge and the makings for a simple breakfast. For lunch and dinner, guests are encouraged to explore the dining options available in the island's many restaurants and cafés. The owners live on the property. The guest suite is very private with its own entrance as well as its own outdoor garden spaces. Guests have exclusive use of a small outdoor patio and also a garden area for relaxing in the shade of an old apple tree. I am usually present during guest stays but there will always be someone to welcome you and answer your questions. There is also information in the studio about the town and the island to help you make the most of your time here. The best thing about the neighbourhood is its proximity to town -- just a 5 minute walk to the shops and restaurants around Centennial Park. No need to worry about parking during the busy summer tourist season! Mouat Park is also close by and offers a pleasant forest walk. Salt Spring has a public bus service that connects Ganges to the other small communities of Fulford, Vesuvius and Fernwood. Buses usually are scheduled to meet the ferries. Car, scooter and bicycle rentals are also available. Minimum stay is two nights and maximum stay is one week. The suite accommodates 2 adults but is not suitable for babies, children or pets.
