A self contained apartment set in a rural location with views over open countryside. Tastefully decorated and fully furnished to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. There is a tv in the bedroom and a tv and DVD player in the lounge. The apartment is fully equipped with everything to ensure you have a pleasant self catering holiday. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microvave, toaster, kettle and dishwasher. (Dishwasher Tablets will be provided. Bed linen and towels will be provided. A travel cot can be provided suitable for a child up to 18 months old. To access the apartment there are stone steps so unfortunately is not suitable for the infirm or disabled. Please note that the en-suite is a shower room and there is no bath. There is oil fired central heating throughout. Bordering the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley with all its fantastic wildlife and local amenities, you will never be bored as there are so many exciting things to do. It is an ideal location to spot wildlife, we often get Deer and Badgers visit the garden during the night. The apartment is entirely your space and there is a garden where you can enjoy barbecues etc. Lydney has a beautiful and well managed local Park with a cafe and here are just a few of the many activities within easy reach. You could pedal a bike away on the extensive cycle track network and cycle into the very heart of our beautiful Forest of Dean or maybe you would prefer to go canoeing on the River Wye. If you are up for a challenge why not test yourself on Go Ape and walk through the treetops or for a more relaxing day take a ride on a Steam Train from Dean Forest Railway. At Taurus Crafts you could try your hand at pottery or perhaps make your own jewellery, there is lots more on offer including a restaurant. Visit Clearwell Caves and go deep into the caves which were ancient Iron mines or go for a walk in the ancient woodland of Puzzle Wood and experience the mystical and magical surroundings. There is the National Diving Centre just 15 minutes away which offers activities such as zip wire and abseiling or the Dean Heritage Centre which gives an insight into the social and Industrial history of the Forest of Dean. The list could go on and on as there are so many exciting things to do and places to visit so why not come and see for yourself, we look forward to meeting you.
