The quintessential Tuscan town of Montelupo Fiorentino is rich in olive orchards and vineyards. The farmhouse too is surrounded by rolling green hills with a lot of vegetation. The region has a long history of human habitation but it reached the zenith of its popularity in the 15th century for producing the finest ceramics. In June every year, the town hosts the International Ceramics Festival depicting its long tradition. Many historical structures like the Church of Saint John Evangelist (7 minutes), Frescobaldi tower, Medici Villa (16 minutes) on the River Arno are testament its prosperity and cultural significance while the Museum of Ceramics (5 minutes) and the Archaeological Museum retell the story of its glorious past.
