Staying at our family-run holiday home you will feel Cretan hospitality, while enjoying the luxurious comfort and freedom of your own private home. Within easy distance there is something for everyone. The sandy beaches and Aegean Sea, the breathtaking nature and mountains, the rich history and culture, a different adventure everyday!​ Holiday House Heraklion is a luxurious and family-friendly vacation home, beautifully designed in Greek Island style. The marble and granite floors, the Greek ornaments on the ceiling combined with modern design in natural colors, create a peaceful balance of elegant style paired up with authenticy  The spacious layout (100m2) of our holiday home allows small groups till 6 persons to be together yet offering you privacy at the same time. For our little guests we have a babybed, a high chair, baby rocker and toys. For the older children and grow ups we have board games, books and tourist guides which gives you endless opportunities to plan and create your own kind of holiday! ROOMS: Our holiday home has 2 large bedrooms in peace-full colors inspired by the color pallet of the Mediterranean sea. Both bedrooms have a king-size bed (new beds and mattresses 2019) and are connected to your own private sun terrace equipped with comfortable garden furniture. The ideal place to drink your morning coffee enjoying the sun, or sip a glass of wine surrounded by the serene atmosphere of Cretan nights. One of the two bedrooms has an extra 1-person bed and flat-screen TV, the other bedroom has an additional baby-bed. The bright living room with garden view is designed to make you feel at ease instantly. The light marble floor gives the room a timeless and natural look. There is a seating area with a 4-persons sofa, 2 armchairs, a coffee table, a large flat screen TV and a desk with office chair. Upon request we can turn the living room into an additional third bedroom with a 1-person bed. The modern well equipped kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at home if you want to. It has a large wooden table which invites you to eat or drink together with your loved ones or friends. There is an oven with a 4-ring stove, microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, kettle, and a children chair. Every little thing has been thought off as well, there is dish soap, salt & pepper, coffee, tea, sugar and many more things you can use. And of course a bottle of family-produced extra virgin olive oil can’t be missing in your Cretan holiday home!  Should you be inspired by the traditional Cretan cuisine, Holiday House Heraklion offers you all the space and the equipment to experiment with the local products you will find in the supermarket or open market around the corner. But also when you don’t feel like cooking on your vacation there are plenty restaurants and taverns in the neighbourhood to enjoy fresh and authentic food. The best thing is, the choice is yours! The stylish bathroom in light gray colors has a bath, toilet, washbasin with mirror, hair dryer and washing machine. With soft towels, shampoo and shower gel provided you’ll find everything you need for a moment to refresh. There is free parking space right in front of the property and there is a Wi-Fi connection free of charge throughout the accommodation. Our holiday home has airconditining and 2 fans which you can use on the warmer days. For our little guests we have toys, boardgames, a baybed and a highchair. You have your own private entrance in the front and a private sun terrace at the back of the house. Also iron and ironboard are available. NEIGHBOURHOOD Holiday House Heraklion is located in a peaceful side street of the cozy boulevard "Leoforos Knossou" which is well known and appreciated by locals. On walking distance (ca. 200 meters) you’ll find 2 supermarkets, traditional taverns, coffee bars, lounge bars a pizzeria and several other shops such as a mini-market, pharmacy, clothes shop and an ATM. The apartment is based on the ground floor in a neat, quiet area with a bus stop only 100 meters away. The bus comes very frequently and will take you right to the city centre of Heraklion in only 5 minutes! At the corner of our street is a little bakery where you can sit outside on the sunny terrace to enjoy a nice cup of coffee or fresh squeezed orange juice and a snack. Most shops are open from Monday till Saturday from 08:00 till 20:30. The mini-market and bakery (both 50 meters away) are also open on Sunday. The world famous (archaeological site) "Palace of Knossos” is only 2,5 km away. The beautiful sandy beaches and sea are waiting for you 4 km away. The accommodation is  500 meters from the highway to the east (Chersonissos, Agios Nikolaos etc), the west (Amoudara, Rethymnon, Chania etc) and south (Matala, Agia Galini etc); which makes it perfect should you wanna discover Crete by car. The airport is only 4 km away. Our holiday home is perfect for families with children, travelers who want to explore the beautiful and unique Crete, guests who search for a peaceful place away from mass tourism or for a relaxing sun and see holiday!
