The Trulli Sant’Irene, a typical accommodation of the Apulian tradition, is located in the charming setting of the Ostuni countryside, surrounded by olive trees. It consists of a cone-shaped ‘trullo’ and 2 Saracen trulli, inside which you will find 2 double bedrooms, a single bedroom and 2 bathrooms. A large eat-in kitchen and a living area with TV complete the house. Surrounded by a relaxing atmosphere, outside you will find a beautiful, large veranda with table and chairs, perfect to enjoy the beauty of the countryside to the fullest, while having a drink or an outdoor meal prepared on the barbecue, which is available for the guests of the house. A few kms away our guests may find the pearl of Valle d’Itria, Ostuni, known as the White city. Its historic centre, of a dazzling and immense white, shows its best with the famous Cathedral that dominates the olive trees plain, the park of the coastal dunes and a crystal clear sea. They narrow alleys are very particular, as well as Piazza della Libertà and S. Oronzo column, that majestically protects the city. Its countryside reaches the heart of Valle d’Itria. Our guests can easily discover the amazing places of our land from here: Ceglie Messapica, historic town with a strong food and wine tradition; Cisternino, known as one of the most beautiful village in Italy; Alberobello, which is famous for its ancient dwellings, Trullos, world heritage since 1996. 30kms north our guests can visit the archaeological park of Egnazia, or perhaps Polignano a Mare and Monopoli, old fishermen villages with evocative historic centres and enchanting beaches. Going further north, guests can find Bari, Eastern threshold, meanwhile going south they can discover Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi and further Lecce, capital of Barocco. Taranto, the heart of Magna Grecia (ancient Greece) is west of Ostuni, and then Matera, peculiar for its Sassi and nominated European capital of culture for 2019. Brindisi (30 minutes) and Bari (60 minutes) are the closest airports to Ostuni. Before your arrival, we'll send you more info on places to go, and things to see and taste.
