The Wheelhouse is right in the centre of town, offering close proximity to almost all attractions in the central area. You’ll easily be able to leave your car behind as most places in town are literally just a short walk from your front door. You can paddle board, kayak or launch you boat from the ramps across the road and along Marne Parade or set up a picnic at the lakeside beach literally a stone’s throw from your front door or on the grass and experience all that Lakes Entrance has to offer. There’s a walking / running / cycling track across the road that weaves its way right around the town, up Jemmy’s Point and back along the lake if you’re keen. Bullock Island is right at the western end of the street, set yourself up there for an early morning coffee and watch the dolphins play in the channel or witness the most spectacular sunsets and see the sun melt into the lake as the waters of the Gippsland Lakes and Bass Strait meander their way through the entrance.
