Children will love Brockholes Nature Reserve, Bowland Wild Boar Park and the Roman museum at Ribchester. There is also a dry ski slope nearby at Pendle. Other places of interest include Gawthorpe Hall, Samlesbury Hall, Townley Hall and Clitheroe with its castle and museum. The Lake District and Yorkshire Dales are both within an hour’s drive.
