Enjoy the atmosphere of the countryside in this large holiday home, set in the beautiful natural setting of the Berici Hills, close to the thermal spa of Abano and Montegrotto and strategically convenient to reach the most beautiful cities of art of Veneto: Venice, Vicenza, Padua , Verona, Treviso, as well as the beaches of the Adriatic coast and Lake Garda. The house has a large enclosed garden where you can leave your pets free and enjoy the greenery and privacy; at the same time it is close to the center of the village Barbarano Vicentino: convenient to all services. It is the result of an excellent renovation of a building from the 1500s: the result is a refined environment where guests can savor the mix between elements of the past and modern comfort. The large spaces of the house offer the possibility of meeting all together in the lounge, tasting the excellent wines made from organic grapes produced by the owner; or, under the porch, after cooking in the large fireplace in the garden, while the children play safely. Every year on the 10th of August there is a party in the garden of the villa with tasting of local products. Guests will be welcome to participate! The location is excellent whatever the reason of your holiday: art, history, sport, food and wine. The Berici Hills are crossed by roads and cycle paths like the 35 km long one that connects Padua to Vicenza, following the embankment of the Bacchiglione river and allowing you to enjoy the view of wonderful Venetian Villas: the “Rotonda” by Palladio, Villa Conti Lampertico called “La Deliziosa” (the Delightful one”), Villa Moschini Rossi, the castle of San Martino della Vaneza, Villa Pisani-Creola with its grandiose barchessa (typical local building). Following the course of the river Brenta, by bike or by Burchiello, a typical Venetian boat of the '700, for a romantic mini-cruise among the Venetian Villas, which ends in Venice in the fantastic marble scenery of Piazza San Marco. The Berici Hills, rich in nature trails, as well as a destination for cyclists, are also suitable for trekking and Nordic walking, but they are also popular routes for motorcyclists. The walls of the cliff above Lumignano, formerly a coral reef, are now used as a climbing wall for climbers. Within only 20 km from the house, there are two golf courses and in the surroundings there are various horse riding schools. You can alternate an active day with one of pure relaxation at the thermal baths of Abano and Montegrotto Terme, just 25 km away. In an hour's driving you can also reach the long and golden beaches of the Adriatic coast or Garda Lake, where your children can have fun in one of the many theme amusement parks. Even a trip to the mountains can diversify your holiday: in less than 100 km you can enjoy the sparkling air of the Asiago plateau, or taking one of the most particular excursions in the region, the road of the 52 galleries of Pasubio or going up to 1800 m of Monte Grappa from which, on particularly clear days, you can also see Venice, up to the Dolomites, UNESCO heritage. The strategic location of the house allows to reach the main cities of art: Vicenza (20 km) with its Palladian architecture, Padua (36 km) with its “Cappella degli Scrovegni”, Verona (50 km) the city of Juliette and Romeo, Venice (78 km) unique jewel in the world; as well as a series of beautiful medieval towns and ancient villages: Bassano del Grappa, Marostica, Asolo, Montagnana, Este, Arquà Petrarca . And finally the food and wine itinerary that starts from the owners' winery and extends between the plains and the hills among wines, oil, truffles, cheeses, honey and all the local products to be tasted in the numerous restaurants that dot this territory, for a holiday that truly satisfies all the senses.
