Toscana Cottage on Greenhills

Welcome to Toscana - our fully self contained one bedroom cottage tucked away on 26 acres of green rolling pasture. Located along a country lane half way between the villages of Sutton Forest and Exeter, Toscana offers the perfect venue for a secluded weekend away or as a base to explore the beautiful Southern Highlands over a few days. The cottage is sunny, airy and spacious. Both the queen sized bedroom and the lounge area open to a timber deck where guests can sit and gaze at the cattle and horses grazing peacefully in the paddocks. The kitchen is fully self contained - with stove top, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, toaster, electric jug and a store pantry. A double sofa in the lounge can be converted to accommodate an extra guest. A reverse cycle air conditioner is located in the lounge room, as well as a flat screen television. Books and magazines are scattered throughout the cottage and the cottage walls feature the work of your host, a local landscape photographer. A substantial breakfast hamper featuring local produce will be provided on the first morning of the stay and the house BBQ can be made available for guests. Toscana is well located for country strolls and is only a 3 minute drive to both Sutton Forest and Exeter. Exeter General Store is a favourite coffee/lunch destination for locals and tourists alike, and both the Sutton Forest Inn and the Moss Vale Hotel offer excellent food with real country atmosphere. Several wineries are nearby and restaurants and attractions in both Berrima and Bowral are easily accessed, while Morton National Park at Bundanoon is just a short drive away. Mt Broughton at Moss Vale is a renown golf course and several riding schools are in the immediate vicinity. Montrose House - a popular wedding venue - is just around the corner from Toscana, and Summerlees, Rona Lodge, Southern Highlands Winery and Hillview are not far away. Toscana can provide convenient accommodation for members of a wedding party and their guests. Your hosts will be happy to provide a calendar of current information about the many social and cultural events of the Highlands.
