The Space: This spectacular home has been beautifully restored and updated whilst retaining its period character and charm. The home is situated high on Wombat Hill, offering panoramic sunset views over the township and out to the west with direct access to the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and Wombat Hill House Cafe. The country style kitchen on the first floor includes Smeg appliances and decorative ned kelly fireplace, while a bright and spacious living room features a cosy gas log fireplace and panoramic views. French doors open from the dining room out to the terrace and gardens with outdoor entertaining area, perfect for alfresco dining or a leisurely afternoon cocktail under the wisteria covered pergola. There are two downstairs bedrooms with a separate laundry, toilet and bathroom; all serviced by split system heating and cooling for year round comfort. Upstairs consists of a large bedroom with period windows overlooking the historic multi-tiered gardens. The Neighborhood: Daylesford and surrounding region has long been considered a special place of healing, relaxation and indulgence. Nestled at the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, the region is most famously known for its natural mineral springs and is home to some of the best restaurants, cafe’s, galleries, wineries and distilleries regional Victoria has to offer. There is a taxi and maxi-taxi local service which can be contacted on 03 5348 1111. Unfortunately Uber has not quite reached us yet. We are pleased to welcome families of all sizes to our special home, however it may not be suitable for small children as they will need supervision at all times around stairs and the terrace balustrade. You are responsible for your own safety and that of any children on the property. A high chair and porta-cot are available for hire (for infants up to 36 months) - please contact the team.
