The Fifie is a stunning 'coastal themed' ground floor holiday apartment with all accommodation on one level (with no steps anywhere within the accommodation) making it ideal for guests with limited mobility. Situated just a few steps from the picturesque harbour of St Monans, right on the coastal path linking Pitenweem and Anstruther in one direction and Elie Lower Largo in the other. With the advantage of just being a 20 min drive from St Andrews - it is a great 'bolthole' to explore the beautiful kingdom of Fife, or further afield. An immaculately presented spacious apartment situated the ground floor of a traditional Grade C listed building, with red pan-tiled roof and thick stone walls. All the rooms lead off from the large welcoming hall. From the hall is a large walk-in cupboard containing a Freezer, iron/ironing board, Child's High Chair, Changing Mat and Travelling Cot. There is a full set of Golf Clubs for the more energetic, as well as a folding picnic basket for those family days out. A bright lounge, with engineered oak floor has ample seating for 6. It has a CD player with I-Pod docking facility, a 32 inch LED TV with Smart Blue-Ray player, a substantial selection of DVDs as well as access to NETFLIX and NOW tv accounts. There is a Wood-Burning Stove (with child’s fire-guard if required) for those cosy nights in. Leading to a fully fitted kitchen with washing machine, Microwave, Slow Cooker and dining table. Bedroom 1 contains a double bed, wardrobe and bedside cabinet. Bedroom 2 has two 3ft single beds with wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside table with hair dryer. Bedroom 3 has a double bed with sprung mattress with wall mounted 32inch Flat screen TV, and smart Blue-ray player providing guests with Netflix and Amazon accounts (and a selection of board games) including hanging space for clothes, and a computer workstation/desk. A modern tiled family bathroom with bath and separate shower cubicle. The apartment is heated by full gas central heating, and has free Fast Fire Optic Wi-Fi internet. A telephone is provided which accepts incoming calls. The accommodation provides a stylish, comfortable retreat whatever the season, with a glimpse of the harbour from the living room window. A spacious, contemporary accommodation which has been thoughtfully furnished for comfort and ease and is literally a minutes walk from the old harbour and sea front at St Monans, the smallest of Fifes East Neuk fishing villages. This quiet harbour village, situated on a hill overlooking the Firth of Forth, has spectacular views across to North Berwick, The Isle of May and Bass Rock. From your front door you can explore the quaint streets and lanes, historic buildings, an old windmill that once powered the salt panning industry and an old 14th Century church, shops and restaurants, an award winning cafe and an excellent seafood restaurant overlooking the harbour. If fish is on your menu tonight, you can purchase freshly caught local sea food, or you can catch your own from the sea front! If you prefer to eat out there are two renowned seafood restaurant just 5 minutes walk. The Fife Coastal Path runs through the village, with historic castles, pretty fishing villages and many sandy beaches and coves to visit along the way. Activities for all interests locally: golf, 3 miles and St Andrews, sandy beaches, watersports, Art exhibitions, Sea Life Centre, historic houses and gardens. This area is famous for golf with more than 40 golf courses in Fife, from the famous fairways of St. Andrews to the more traditional links courses and beautifully landscaped parkland and heathland courses. This is a welcoming and comfortable retreat whatever the season. Nestled on the Fife coastal path it is a walker’s paradise. Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes, St Andrews and Dundee are all within commuting distance and Edinburgh with its airport is only a one hour drive away.
