Ali & Greg welcome you to their luxury gîte, Le Frêne in the quiet little hamlet of La Maure, Campsegret, 18 minutes from Bergerac airport in the Dordogne. Ideal for a romantic getaway, surrounded by tranquil forests and views but close enough to explore all the Dordogne has to offer. Feel free to wander around our 3 hectare grounds and we welcome you to choose seasonal vegetables from our potager. Our hens will lay fresh eggs for your breakfast! You have use of the pool and your own barbecue area with table and chairs overlooking the pool. Renovated to the highest standards, but keeping original features of the Perigord, the kitchen is fully equipped with oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, juicer, three ways of making coffee and every utensil a chef might need. Large double bed with duck down feather duvet & pillows with 100% linen bedding provide night time comfort. Bedding & towels are included. French & English TV, Bose ipod dock, a DVD player as well as a selection of DVD's and games are provided. Feel free to explore our grounds including the potager. There are many outdoor tables, benches and places to sit, admire the views, soak up the sun and relax. We live on the property but we respect your privacy. The gîte has its own private entrance. However we are on hand for any help or advice. Campsegret is a tranquil little hamlet 18 minutes from Bergerac airport. You have all the amenities close by but can immerse yourself in the countryside. There are a number of gorgeous little nearby villages to explore. And the historic towns of Sarlat, Montignac, Les Eyzies and Perigueux are easily accessible. Bordeaux is also about an hour away making this an ideal location to experience the Aquitaine. You'll find a welcome basket of local produce and wine on your arrival. We are unable to accommodate children or babies.
