Ideal for a relaxing holiday from city stress and for those who love hiking trails on foot or mountain bike. Just 2 km is Monte San Savino, a town well served by supermarkets, bars and restaurants. The public transport are lacking, so we suggest the use of a car. It is located on the Essa stream in the Valdichiana. Several of its frazioni occupy higher hills, like Gargonza and its castle at 560 metres (1,840 ft) and Palazzuolo at an elevation of 600 metres (2,000 ft). Monte San Savino was one of the first urban settlements in Tuscany, Italy.
