Porthmadog Haven is great for family holidays as it is a traditional stone spacious property in the heart of the town. The whole of the property is available to hire featuring 3 floors, four bedrooms, one with an en-suite and a lovely private courtyard ideal for quiet evenings to relax after wonderful days spent exploring the surrounding area such as black rock sands, portmeirion and Snowdon. There is a large lounge/dining room , a spacious family bathroom and a modern kitchen. Pubs , restaurants , shops , park, lake, and the harbour (from which children often crab fish) are less than a five minute walk from the house. The house located in central Porthmadog is close to Porthmadog lake which is lovely to walk around and take in the amazing sunsets. It has views to this from the landing and bathroom You might even see an osprey flying overhead This helped to form the reclamation of the land leading to the town being created 200 years ago and the working gates to the plains and harbour can be seen working from here. You can also walk the cob taking in the views of Snowdon and watching the steam trains passing by from the famous Ffestiniog railway - the station is only a five minute walk from the house. It is a five minute drive to black rock sands and borth y gest bay although these are scenic and wonderful walks should you wish to access these on foot - the coastal path from here leads to black rock sands through Samson’s bay Tremadog is 15 mins walk away and is popular with climbers. Moel y gest mountain is closer still and Ireland can be seen from the top on a clear day Portmeirion village is a 10 minute drive which was made famous by the prisoner tv show and number 6 music festival Snowdon is approx 45 mins drive away as is zipworld Porthmadog has good rail and bus links to the surrounding towns and villages, both within walking distance from the house.
