Cobham is a very pretty village in a conservation area, and as such remains relatively unspoilt. The 13th century village church is 2 minutes walk away. Charles Dickens is also linked to the village mentioning The Leather Bottle Inn (one of the local pubs) in The Pickwick Papers. The pub houses a collection of Dickensian memorabilia. Cobham stands at the end of Lime Avenue that leads to the great Cobham Hall, one of the finest houses in Kent. A 30 minutes walk from the cottage through the Cobham Hall grounds, takes you to a National Trust Mausoleum and a 20 minute walk through beautiful countryside takes you to Owletts National Trust property. Cobham is also a short distance to the vibrant city of London. A direct train from the next village (5 minutes drive away) takes you into London Victoria in less than 50 minutes. The cottage is a 10 minute drive from Ebbsfleet International Station and a 50 minutes drive to the port of Dover. Wisteria Cottage offers a truly delightful cosy getaway, catering for all.
