The village of La Chapelle St Jean is close to Hautefort, home to one of Dordognes most famous Châteaux where you also find shops, restaurants, a supermarket, and ‘Etang de Coucou’, a swimming/fishing lake. Perigueux, Montignac, Les Eyzies and the Dordogne valley are all within 60km. Many of the local villages have weekly markets, one of the most popular is at Terrasson, approximately 20 km away.
