Sleeps 10 The Space: Villa Kalamos is one of a group of 4 villas called Infinity Blue all of which are built on different levels, therefore offering each its own privacy. A beautiful seafront property, from its elevated position, offers stunning views over the turquoise Ionian Sea and its superb islands. A perfect get away for families who want to escape from it all and relax in the peaceful surroundings. The property is entered by steps leading up to a solid wooden door that opens directly into the modern open plan living area which has been stylishly designed according to Ionian architecture and boasts high quality comfortable furnishings. Off from the living area is a fully equipped kitchen. From the living room there are large full length glass doors that open up to reveal a large terrace and decking area with a fantastic Infinity pool that highlights the unbeatable views out over the warm Ionian Sea. On the terrace under a pergola there is a large teak dining table and a large comfy sofa area out of the sun. Stairs lead up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms. The master bedroom is spacious and has a large bathroom with bath, shower and WC. As well as a separate walk-in closet/dressing room it has its own large veranda which has stunning sea views. The 2nd double bedroom has a spacious en-suite bathroom with WC and shower, and exceptional views from the large picture-windows right out over the bay. From both upper level bedrooms the views are magnificent right out over Paleros Bay with the islands of Meganissi, Lefkada, Atokos, Kalamos & Scorpios in the distance. On the lower garden level there are two bedrooms. One consists of a double bed and en suite bathroom, the other has 2 bunk beds and en suite which makes it perfect for 4 children together. The villa interiors are contemporary and minimalist in style using natural wood and stone, with very comfortable and stylish furnishings. There is WI FI as well as air-conditioning throughout. Guest Access: You are welcome to access all areas of the property The Neighborhood: Pogonia, a picturesque village located on the west coast of mainland Greece, is situated in a breathtaking backdrop of beautiful and serene vistas and the crystal clear waters of the Ionian sea. Olive trees, vineyards and pine trees extend down to sandy beaches. Local tavernas,cafe and a bakery are within walking distance.Boat hire is available and the villa offers an excellent base to be able to explore the neighbouring islands of Lefkada, Meganissi, Kalamos, Kastos, Astakos and the famous Scorpios island. We thoroughly recommend our rib boat day cruise around the many Ionian Islands as it offers an amazing insight to the many beauties of Greece that are often overlooked. This can be booked with us at any time. Approx 200 meters uphill from the villa is a traditional village with two excellent tavernas,mini market a bakery and a mini-market. 4km around the bay you will come along the busy town of Paleros which is a lively alternative to Pogonia. There are many tavernas and shops and a modern and fun Paleros Yacht club that provides all day entertainment and offers sun loungers and umbrellas to relax under whilst enjoying a drink from the large variety of cocktails that they offer or to dine on the delicious food chosen from an extremely modern and tasty menu. Getting Around: A car is recommended, there is free parking directly outside the villa. Other Things to Note: We can arrange a rib boat around the ionian islands and other excusions. We have our own qualified masseur who is available to come to the villa and give private massages.
