A Cancela House - Arouca and Paiva Walkways

House set in the Arouca Geopark in a green area with a stream nearby, with many chestnut trees, willows ... In the stream you can see the dragonflies and the peace and quiet of the place are refreshing and inspire anyone who stops to contemplate nature. Its symbol is the hydrangeas that greet us right at the entrance. A place of rest, calm, harmony and tranquility, between earth and heaven. The rental of the house is exclusive and with the use of the whole house that is organized around the patio (main house, a WC in an annex, swimming pool, games and Tv area, barbecue). The main house has 2 bedrooms (one family with a double bed and 2 singles and the other with a double bed), 1 bathroom ensuite in the family bedroom and a toilet,, a living room with 2 single sofa beds, and a rural kitchen with an equipped fireplace and a living room. In the spacious lounge by the pool, in addition to the living area there is a game table (chess, checkers) and a children's game table with table football, snooker, ... (where adults also have fun). In the courtyard with the pool and the barbecue we highlight the iron bed and the hammock to enjoy and rest. Outside the house, another iron bed under vines invites you to rest and contemplate! We love the outdoor beds to rest and simply listen to the stream running and the sounds of nature. There is unlimited Wi-Fi. On mobile phones, Vodafone has coverage in the house but Nos and Meo do not, the house is in a valley, only even higher is the coverage of these networks. The house is located in Lázaro, a small village in a valley in the north of the Municipality of Arouca, in the middle of the Route of the Water and the Stone of the Magic Mountains and the Arouca Geopark (Passadiços do Paiva, Pedras Parideiras, Frecha da Mizarela waterfall, walking routes,…). The village has neither coffee nor supermarkets, just a lot of peace and breathtaking scenery! Very close to the house we have the Marco dos 4 Concelhos, a point of beautiful views including the Douro River, which borders 4 municipalities: Arouca, Santa Maria da Feira, Gondomar and Castelo de Paiva and from the house you can also explore the Douro área. Nearby we also have our "secret" (almost private) river beach on the river Arda! (5 minutes by car from A Cancela House). Wonderful for swimming, "jacuzzi" in rapids, enjoying the trout jumping in the river and the dragonflies. Even a beautiful kingfisher can be seen! We cleaned the vegetation a little and we already have the sand! We love! Come and try it too! The place is wonderful and with a lot to see and do in the vicinity of the house, in the entire municipality of Arouca and in the nearby Douro area (river beaches)!
