GROUNDS FARM, MALVERN HOLIDAY COTTAGES - The Oaks
Welcome to our new holiday cottage "The Oaks" for 2021, this is perfect accommodation to explore the famous Malvern Hills and surrounding areas. Ideally situated on the edge of Castlemorton Common and at the foot of the southern Malvern Hills is Grounds Farm. Minimum stay 3 nights. Direct from the property you can step or ride out (on bicycle) to the countless number of footpaths or bridleways that weave their way across the hills. The local pub, The Marlbank Inn, is a 15 min walk away. On a clear night looking up at the stars is a truly amazing sight. All-in-all Grounds Farm has a lot going for it as a base for a lively and lovely holiday in the Malvern Hills and beyond. Inside there are two double bedrooms with super king size beds, one of which can be turned into a twin on request. An additional slightly smaller room completes the sleeping accommodation with a small double bed. Versatility is at the heart of this cottage. A substantial kitchen with all the mod cons leads to a spacious living/dining room. The living area is open and comfortable with a vaulted ceiling. As the name suggests it is surrounded by grand Oak trees that have framed the landscape for hundreds of years. Outside the knocking of Bert and Bertha, the resident woodpeckers, fills the air, alongside the plaintiff bleat of the spring lambs looking for mum after they’ve ventured beyond the usual confines of the flock. The clip clop of the horses walking to and from the fields to their stables sets a beat for the wind to whistle melodiously through the trees. Who said the country was quiet? - Regardless, a true rural idyll! 2 well behaved dogs welcome.
