Luxury 3-storey cottage Pendle Hill Witch Country
Luxury 3-storey cottage in Pendle Hill Witch Country
Set over three storeys, 12 Newchurch is an 18th century weavers’ cottage with towering views over forests, hills and historic Newchurch-in-Pendle - once home to the Pendle Witches. Sleeping up to six in 2x large king-size bedrooms and a small twin in the eaves, it's ideal for families or couples wanting to explore Pendle Hill, picturesque villages, great food and the stunning Forest of Bowland AONB. Stylishly decorated, and thoughtful extras to make your stay effortless - few places feel quite so magical! We bought 12 Newchurch in 2019 and have spent 18 months lovingly renovating the property to open for bookings from Summer 2021. Our aim is to create a really unique, luxury experience in such a genuinely magical, historic and beautiful setting - who else boasts an iconic witches shop as their neighbour?! We love the idea of guests walking straight in from a long hike and being pampered with spa towels, Egyptian cotton linen, stylish furnishings, local craftsmanship, a deluge showerhead and all the latest tech. Downstairs, our stylish lounge is an ideal retreat: complete with Chesterfield, smart TV and handpicked selection of page-turner books. Along with a fully-fitted kitchen (including dishwasher, washer-dryer and microwave), our dining area is designed to feel like a cosy pub booth. Outside, we offer a sheltered outdoor garden room providing year-round views of the surrounding forest, hills, and local wildlife. Upstairs, the two spacious king-size bedrooms can rival even the best boutique hotels, whilst the twin features a large skylight overlooking the neighbouring forest... perfect for some late night star-gazing (or witch-spotting)! Free high-speed internet is available throughout the house. The king-size bedrooms also include smart speakers with Google Assistant, and a Chromecast on the lounge TV.
