Near the world famous Unesco World Heritage site of Carcassonne, we completely redesigned a traditional farm­house with old barns into five contemporary barn chic style holiday houses (gȋtes). With spectacular views of the Carcassonne valley and the Pyrenees, Domaine de la Bade is the ideal location to enjoy a sophisticated yet relaxed holiday in this charming region of the South of France. Come and enjoy the sunny terraces, shady corners, nice hammocks, delicious food, fine wines and above all the relaxed and informal atmosphere where you can truly feel at home. 4 bedroom (8-persons) holiday house: Gite Maison Malepere is a stylish French farm house of 230m2. It features 4 spacious bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is fully equipped for 8 persons and because of its size you can easily add two additional beds (additional fees apply) to create room for 10 people. This holiday house has large patio doors to the terrace, from where you have a beautiful view. Ground floor: - Comfortable and fully equipped kitchen (33m2) with dishwasher, oven, microwave oven, washing machine and all utensils needed to prepare great home made meals - Spacious living and dining room (56m2) with a breathtaking view, equipped with TV and DVD - Bathroom with shower and hand basin - Separate toilet - Access to a private terrace with large BBQ, close to swimming pool and gardens with spectacular views of the Pyrenees First floor – 3 bedrooms: - Three large double bedrooms (22m2 and two times 25m2) with space for an additional bed. - Bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin Second floor – 1 bedroom: - A large double bedroom (32m2) with en-suite bathroom, great views and with space for an additional bed All rooms have comfortable box spring beds – 2 x 90 x 200. The name Malepère: Malepère is an appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) since 2006 for the red and rosé wines from the area immediately south-west of Carcassonne, going towards Limoux. Merlot is the most widely used grape variety, paired with Cabernet, Sauvignon, Malbec, Grenache, Syrah and Cinsaut. Domaine de la Bade is surrounded by the wonderfully unspoilt countryside of the Languedoc-Rousillon in the South of France. The domaine is bordered by beautiful sunflower fields and vineyards in the world's largest wine producing area, boasting over 300 days of sunshine a year.
