This cottage started its life in Melbourne and was relocated to Apollo Bay four years ago. It has been completely renovated to include all the modern comforts whilst retaining its Californian Bungalow charm and period features. The cottage consists of a large loungeroom with woodfire, split system air-conditioning and a Juliet balcony on which you can enjoy your morning coffee or lazy afternoon drink while looking at the waters of the bay. High ceilings, traditional windows and French doors ensure the cottage is bright and airy with a sense of space and flow. There are two queen-sized bedrooms, sympathetically decorated with pretty views and plenty of light. The third bedroom is a smaller bunk room complete with bean bags and TV/DVD to keep the kids entertained. The dining room adjoins the modern kitchen equipped with new stainless-steel appliances and a further split system air conditioner. Ample bench space allows for holiday entertaining with direct access out onto the entertainers deck complete with dining setting and gas bbq. The bathroom features a cast iron clawfoot bath, shower over bath, vanity and toilet. There is a second separate toilet (external entry) and a private outdoor shower with hot and cold water. There is also a fully equipped laundry with washing machine and dryer. The garden is planted with apple trees, herbs and wildflowers and is a favourite spot for the local birdlife. The yard is fully fenced. Sit on the front porch with views of the Otway hills or enjoy a BBQ on the private leafy entertainers’ deck. Inis Mór Cottage has been re-created by its owners over the last four years to enjoy its new life on this beautiful coast. Its original name ‘Harmony’ still adorns its façade and perfectly articulates its presence and grace. This cottage by the sea is the ideal place to relax and recharge with sunny tranquil days and the sound of crashing waves to lull you to sleep at night.
