The house is designated historic by the Manchester Historical Society, within the Manchester Village Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. In the mid-1800s, the mother-in-law suite (Novel House) was added to the original Wickham House (built c. 1790) to accommodate larger families which visited the elegant summer enclave of Manchester Village. The home was recently renovated to meet the needs of a modern family, including main floor living, open kitchen, luxury bathrooms with radiant-heated floors & an en-suite sleeping porch.
