The farmhouse, which consists of a stone manor house and two independent apartments, one on the ground floor and the other on the first floor, is immersed in a well-kept and shady garden available to our guests, and is surrounded by fields and hills planted with vineyards and olives groves, on Via Chiantigiana that leads from Florence to Siena, a few steps from the bus stop to Florence (30 minutes). It is the ideal place for families with children, who can have fun in complete safety in the large garden, but also for a romantic getaway for two, an intimate nest from which you can embrace the amazing Tuscan countryside in all its beauty and idyllic tranquility. The farmhouse is located in Greve in Chianti, just 1 km from the town center, in the heart of the green Chianti countryside more or less halfway between Florence (32km) and Siena (44km), a few steps from the bus stop to Florence. Podere Casanova was originally a farmhouse used in the late Middle Ages as a refreshment point for travelers who went from Siena to Florence. During the 19th century, the property was transformed into a farm for the production of oil and wine and has remained so until now. The typical cellar of the farmhouse is still the original one and the owner will be happy to let you taste his Chianti Classico wine, Vin Santo or the olive oil they produce using traditional methods. The independent stone building for guests, is divided into two apartments immersed in the large and well-kept shaded garden and equipped with gazebo, deck chairs, barbecue and everything you will need during your stay, which will make your holidays even more relaxing and enjoyable. The apartments have recently been tastefully renovated: the careful selection of materials and objects typical of the past, expertly restored and brought back to life, coexist with the efficiency of modern comforts in a simple and sober way. CASINA MARIO "Casina Mario" apartment, intimate and romantic, recently and tastefully renovated in the typical style of the Tuscan countryside, with exposed beams and terracotta floors, is located on the ground floor and is accessed from a large private patio equipped with an umbrella, a table and chairs, for your moments of relaxation after returning from your excursion days. Upon entering we find the bright and welcoming living room with a typical wooden table and traditional “poor art” furniture, a sofa that quickly turns into a comfortable double bed and a kitchenette equipped to prepare your breakfast, lunch and dinner whenever you want (microwave, kettle, etc.). From the living room you enter the spacious bedroom, with a typical wrought iron bed, a dresser with mirror and a large wardrobe to conveniently store your clothes. The bathroom with shower completes the apartment. Possibility of adding a cot for our little guests. The large garden of the farmhouse is shared with another apartment, and it is equipped with a barbecue, a gazebo and deck chairs to relax to the song of crickets on cool summer evenings.
