Inside, the sensitive restoration has retained its historic assets while creating a stylish holiday home that has the feel of a townhouse, yet offers a tranquil, rural retreat. Many rooms share a view over the hamlet’s main square or the rolling Chianti hills, while all the first-floor double bedrooms benefit from private lounges – quiet spaces where guests can relax independently. Outside, the covered terrace, with built-in barbecue, provides a shady place to dine outdoors, while the private Jacuzzi pool in the lawned and paved garden is the place to take a cooling dip.
