Situated between two of the region's “Plus Beaux Villages de France” Lauzerte (12kms) and Auvillar (34Kms) this holiday property is at the same time easily accessible and hidden in the rolling countryside of the Tarn et Garonne. It is 18kms from Montauban, the red brick capital of the department with its Musée Ingrès and beautiful bridge over the Tarn river. The city is steeped in history and there are attractions for all age groups. Moissac (12kms) is also a town of art and history and has plenty to offer. There is the Moissac Abbey to visit with its famous cloister, there are boat trips on the Canal de Deux Mers, or you can hire bikes and ride along the tow path. On the river Tarn you can hire canoes and pedalos and even try waterskiing. Moissac is a market town and at the weekends you can wander amongst the stalls piled high with fresh local produce. The pilgrim route of Santiago de Compostela passes through Lauzerte, Moissac and Auvillar before continuing further south so there are some wonderful walking opportunities. For those of you who just want to take it easy there is no shortage of cafés and restaurants or relax on a sunbed under a parasol in the garden and soak up the sun.
