The bed and breakfast is on the first floor of a building from the early 1900s, in the pretty village of Torrita Tiberina. The room, sober and silent, is equipped with TV, free Wi - Fi, heating and an en suite bathroom with a spacious shower. Children are welcome; if under the age of 6 they stay for free (sleeping in the present bed). For children under 12 years of age it is possible to add an extra bed at an extra cost. The B & B La Valle del Tevere overlooks a pretty square in the historic center of the medieval village Torrita Tiberina. A small country church makes the square very suggestive. The silence and tranquility allow the guest who stays there to relax, away from the chaos of the city and everyday life. Particularly suitable for a romantic getaway or for those who want a break from work, but also for families, considering the proximity to the Tevere Farfa Nature Reserve and the landing place to take the boat, interesting especially for the little ones. You can walk around the historic center of the town, the atmosphere is suggestive and out of time. The village climbs up a hill up to the main square overlooked by the Baronial Palace. From the balcony you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Sabina. The best way to move in the Roman countryside and in nearby Sabina is by car. Both Rome and Rieti can be reached along the ancient Via Salaria. The medieval Sabine villages such as Casperia, Fara in Sabina, Palombara Sabina, Roccantica, Poggio Mirteto, Torri in Sabina, Poggio Catino, Greccio and many others can be reached within 30 - 40 minutes. In an hour you arrive in Tivoli, while, in just 30 minutes, you reach the famous Abbey of Farfa. Sabina is rich in other places of worship: Abbeys, Sanctuaries and Hermitages, and is crossed by the Via Francigena. For the more adventurous and nature lovers, it is possible to visit the Sabina by bike, to discover breathtaking views, woods and hills of olive groves. Bikes are made available to guests free of charge. In the area there are also several stables where you can try the experience of a beautiful horse ride. From the B&B you can reach the Tevere - Farfa Nature Reserve in a few minutes and on the river you can practice sports activities such as rowing and kayaking. In addition, starting from the Torrita Tiberina landing, you can take the tour of the Tiber on the boat. In summer you can relax by the pool by reaching the Tiber pools, in Fiano Romano, 10 minutes away by car; or the Terme di Cretone, in Palombara Sabina. In the municipality of Mompeo there is an extraordinary natural treasure to visit: The Farfa gorges, while, for mountain enthusiasts, excursions to the Sabini Mountains and to Monte Terminillo, 40 km away from Torrita Tiberina, are recommended. For lovers of good food the B&B is surrounded by farmhouses, restaurants, dairies, ovens, where you can taste the typical products of the area. There are also numerous village festivals, to discover the flavors of the past. Sabina is known all over the world for the so-called "green gold" DOP extra virgin olive oil, with which the typical dishes of Sabina cuisine are seasoned. This precious product is celebrated in the Sabine Oil Museum in Castelnuovo di Farfa, reachable in just 25 minutes.
