The Space: When you want to getaway, but are craving space, freedom and serenity - this home offers all in abundance! Sip your morning coffee on the Victorian balcony and soak in the surrounding trees. Enjoy cooking dinner in the well equipped country chef's kitchen with large dining table. Take a wander from the home to nearby rainforest walks and hikes. All on your doorstep. The home is at the very beginning of the picturesque Maleny to Montville tourist drive where you can take in the very best food, wine, art and fair our Hinterland region has to offer. Guests have exclusive use of the entire property, including the four bedroom house, featuring a French country chefs kitchen and modern bathroom facilities, the grounds, and a shed with full-size billiard table and drinks fridge. The cottage-style gardens are flanked with sand stone paths and the ambiance of this lovely property can be enjoyed from the upstairs or downstairs balconies. Upstairs: The spacious master suite has a plush Queen sized bed, lounge parlour retreat with double doors opening out to the front Victorian balcony from the room. An ensuite adjoins the master, huge tall wardrobes, ready to hang your wedding dress and bridesmaids outfits. Bedroom 2: A plush Queen bed overlooking the front of house Victorian balcony. Bedroom 3: Offers 2 single beds and double doors opening to the balcony off the rear of the home. The main bathroom upstairs is shared between these bedrooms offering a large tub with shower overhead. Downstairs: The fourth bedroom is on the ground floor, featuring a Queen bed. With double doors opening to the rear balcony. The open space on the ground floor ensures you will never feel cramped. The kitchen area has a large eight seater table, and plenty of room for the cooks amongst you. The lounge has a wood fire with an array of books to read, games to play and a large smart TV. The main living room contains a reverse cycle air-conditioner that services the downstairs open plan living/dining areas. The shed: There is a well equipped shed at the back, housing a full-size billiard table and drinks fridge. The location: Take a stroll straight out the front gate and you will soon find yourself gazing out at the stunning Glass House Mountains. There are some beautiful horse properties just up the road and some amazing places to take photographs, pack a picnic lunch, go for coffee, breakfast or dinner with a view or simply admire the stunning surrounds and mountain landscape. Places to eat located on Mountain View Road: Tiffany's Wedding Venue, Tranquil Park Wedding Venue with Bar and Pub Style Food open to the public, Mary Cairn Cross Reserve and the Mountain View Cafe, King Ludwigs German Restaurant and Bavarian Beer Cafe. At the end of the road you will find The Orangery Café and The Terrace of Maleny. There is plenty to keep you entertained (whatever the weather!) so gather your family or friends for a special trip away! In the winter months it can get pretty chilly at night so we have a beautiful wood burner fire to keep you warm downstairs as well as three additional oil fin heaters and lots of snuggly extra blankets. We recommend bringing some warm clothing for the months from mid-April to mid-September. *Please note if you rely on internet to work or need a solid phone connection, the wifi and phone reception here can cut out and only Telstra phones will have reception. The whole of this spacious house is available to guests, including a large rendered shed outside, containing a full sized pool table, refrigerator and eating area. Guests can also enjoy the cottage garden containing outdoors table and chairs to be enjoyed by all. The Neighborhood: Maleny is a picture perfect country town, interspersed with rainforests, grassy plains and located high in the Blackall Range, about 30 kilometres south-west of Caloundra. The stunning Georgian Manor sits atop a beautiful range. Take a short walk across the road and you have panoramic of the picturesque Glass House Mountains. Ideally situated close to many scenic iconic areas such as the Mary Cairncross Reserve, Gardeners Falls, Baroon Pocket Dam and the exquisite Maleny Botanical Gardens and Bird World. It is just 850m from the wedding venue Tiffany's and a scenic 5-minute drive to the wedding venue Maleny Manor. The Mary Cairncross Reserve is 55 acres of subtropical rainforest overlooking the Glass House Mountains. The reserve is a living museum of diverse plant and animal life. There are several tranquil walking tracks, boardwalks and viewing platforms where you can soak up the natural beauty as well as a Rainforest Discovery Centre and a wonderful cafe overlooking the Glass House Mountains. Gardeners Falls is a hidden gem in Maleny. It’s a short walk downstream to the falls, past shallow rock pools, leading to a large freshwater pool underneath the falls. A sublime place to swim! These delightful water ways are backed by native, tropical rain forests. Baroon Pocket Dam is a picturesque dam tucked away between Maleny and Montville. The dam offers a large number of recreational facilities and shoreline, a paradise for bush walkers and nature lovers, as well as an exceptional cafe and restaurant - Secrets on the Lake - set high in trees and overlooking the dam. The Maleny Botanical Gardens and Bird World is a spacious and exquisite garden on 55-acres; featuring waterfalls, ponds, rainforest and spectacular views of the Glass House Mountains. The large, free-flight aviary consists of many species exotic birds, who are particularly friendly and love to land on your shoulder - hats highly recommended! Getting Around: The surrounding areas are so stunning, you will want to take your time to soak in all Maleny has to offer. You can walk or bike ride to many places from this property, but having a car will give you the convenience of travelling to towns on the range like Montville, Flaxton & Mapleton - a little further out and well worth the drive is a trip to the famous Kenilworth Bakery. The stunning Sunshine Coast beaches are an easy and scenic drive away. 35 - 40 minutes and you could find yourself in Mooloolaba or Caloundra. Noosa is approximately 1 hour drive North and Brisbane Airport is 1 hour drive South (traffic permitting) Other Things to Note: *We DO NOT take schoolies bookings* - No guests under the age of 20 travelling independently (family's with teenage or young adult children fine) Please note to stay with us you will be required to fill out a bond form for your stay. The area has limited phone reception with some providers and the internet within the region is known to be temperamental. Also please note firewood is not included.
