From here it's a really quick walk to the beach, and you can even walk to the Manly ferry over the headland – almost an overdose of ocean scenery. The streets are leafy and quiet, and there's no shortage of places to eat or have a drink. On the both fronts, try the Harbord Beach Hotel (universally known to locals as the Harbord Hilton). Getting Around: The bus to the CBD leaves from right outside our door, and you can walk, beachside, to the Manly ferry in 30 minutes (or catch a 10 minute bus from right outside if that feels too hard – we feel ya).
